Great value!

This dishwasher does a wonderful job, but has some quirks. I purchased it online as a Black Friday deal and paid about half what its advertised for now, so I'm not complaining...-The baskets and dish racks feel a bit on the flimsy side.-If you dont rinse, you'll need to clean out 2 filters.- It takes a lot of wash time when you're in the energy-saving (standard) mode (3 hours!) because of the way it soaks dishes. You can use it in less energy efficient manner and be done in 62 minutes.-Sound is noticeable, but not obnoxiousMy dishes came out sparkling clean, I got a great deal so I'm thrilled...

Not up to Kenmore standards

We bought this model in January. We are having the same problems as several of the other reviewers. It does not dry the dishes all the way (even with a drying agent) & the inside tub stays wet. I find myself leaving the door open for a day or two to let it air dry after I run the dishwasher to make sure it doesn't grow mildew inside the tub. But most importantly the door latch broke within the first 4 months & seems like it may be a ongoing issue. They came yesterday to replace the latch at no charge but after the 1 year warranty is up, it'll be $160 each time I have to replace the latch. I would not buy this model. These reviews were not on here when I purchased it in January or I would have went with a different model myself.

Never thought I would buy one this quiet.

This is one of the best Dishwasher's that I have owned and I'm 77 years old. Maytag, trouble, Whirlpool, Noisy. Kenmore, quiet. Bosch overpriced. (I'm sure Whirlpool makes this model for Kenmore). Maybe a new upgrade by Whirlpool for all their machines. At any rate it is very quiet. It does a great job. I installed it this morning, so I can't comment on how long it will last. I don't normally write reviews, but I read some before I bought this unit. On installation.: Hire someone to do it. It is a deep tub and there is only three or four inches to work with under it when you are hooking it up. It only took me about an hour to do it. Half of that time was spent putting the cover back on the electrical box. It is almost impossible to get a screwdriver on the screw. Kenmore needs to simplify that. Buy the installation kit before you start. Make sure the hoses will reach your water and drain lines. The installation manual is perfect. If you can't read that, hire someone.

Excellent choice and value

Spent several hours going store to store and checking deals. The Kenmore was hands down the best value for the price. It was on sale from $509 down to $399. Having run several loads now, I would have happily paid full price. One thing they don't talk about anywhere is the "High Temp" option. It heats the water internally to 130 degrees. Most hot water heaters run in the 110 range and less once the water travels from the pipes. Simply push high temp and your dishes are scalded clean with 130 degrees. The quality on this unit is awesome and the door has a nice positive lock. I checked all of the GE models and didn't like the latch. It was a small plastic **** that seemed kind of cheap. The unit runs quiet, and I have been very happy with it.

Dishwasher

This is not the dishwasher I went in to purchase but the sales clerk suggested this one over the other for the fact that I had children who would be using it who are sometimes not as gentle with the way they use appliances. It was still in our price reange and it was a nice recommendation. I would suggest this purchase to others. It is easy to use and much quieter than my old, more expensive dishwasher.

Adequate

We had the displeasure of needing to replace our 5 year old dishwasher (never buy an LG - they are not built to last), so took advantage of the friends and family sale. The price on this was right, and it gets the job done. However, its capacity is not suited to a large dinner, and would not recommend it to someone who is used to a very quiet machine. It isn't horrendously noisy, but could be bothersome if noise is an issue to you. Overall, though, it meets our needs..

Quiet

I was surprised how quiet it is. A lot quieter than my 1999 Kenmore. It is the reason I had to get a new one. Corrosion put that one in the landfill. But it lasted for 13 years, I believe it was a fair deal. The wife believes it is cleaning well. I have no qualms about the cleanliness.

dishwasher

Really like the new dishwasher, but the lock on it is quite chintzy. it is plastic., I'm worried about it holding up. or is it not necessary and just use the lock button on the machine.

Great Product!

I thought that the dishwasher that I had forever before getting this one was a fine one and did a good job. Now that I have this one though, I shudder to think how "clean" my dishes were getting before! U can actually feel the cleanliness on the dishes after they are washed in this dishwasher! The only thing I wish is that the old one would've quit on me sooner so that I could have gotten this one a long time ago! 5 star product I highly recommend it!

Fantastic product!

This dishwasher is fantastic!!! Could not believe how clean the dishes were! Even pots that had dried, caked on baked beans came out spotless! This is by far the best dishwasher we have had! Even love the lock feature so our 2 yr old can't push buttons. It is so quiet that sometimes we can't even tell it is running until we stand next to it! Absolutely fantastic!

Great worker! Price was right!

My husband installed this with little problem, the only thing was that our water line needed a special adapter to fit the one on the dishwasher. Other than that installed nicely and with ease. Very quiet, does a good job cleaning up, and all in all seems to be a good one. No leaks thus far, I am thrilled with it! We upgraded to this from a 20 year old GE Potscrubber 640. Exceeded my expectations, just as good as every other Kenmore prouduct I've purchased! Bought a gas stove last year and so far it is still doing splendidly! Go Sears! Great for anyone on a budget who needs a good dishwasher!

Not the best

It is very good for the price although it lacks in many features I didn't notice when looking at this in store. The upper rack doesn't hold wider mugs or cups I have to place them on the tongs witch is not recommend or wash them by hand:( it doesn't clean pans very well some food stays on:(

Looks good, runs effectionally, easy to load.

My only objection is the length of time it takes for the full cycle. This seems to be true of all brands on the market today.

Dishwasher Works Great

Purchased this dishwasher in November 2012. After purchasing it and before installation I read the reviews on this site about the wet dishes, etc., and was afraid of what would happen. To my pleasant surprise nothing like wet dishes happened -- either with heat dry or air dry. I did use the so called drying agent but I have always used that for spots on the glasses. I am quite satisfied with this dishwasher and it is also very quiet. it does take it a long time to complete a cycle but I think all energy saving washers do the same thing.

Love My Kenmore Appliances!

I received this as a surprise gift from my wonderful husband after our previous dishwasher had a nervous breakdown. I've had it for 2 weeks now and I LOVE IT! It is so quiet; I can hardly tell its running! It gets my dishes sparkling clean, even stuck on food.We have ALL Kenmore appliances and have not been disappointed with a single one. While I realize different companies make ?Kenmore? appliances, I believe Sears does their homework and select only this best to carry the Kenmore name. The only con I can say about my new dishwasher is the amount of time it takes to complete a cycle. It takes about 1 1/2 hours for the normal wash. I have to admit, it doesn't dry them as well as my old Kenmore if left to complete the heated dry cycle. But, since I rarely use the heated dry, it's not a problem for me!
