Love the Range

My old unit died and we replaced it with this one the week of thanksgiving. What a relief, It's nice to have the digital temperature controls on the oven to make baking easier. Love the cast iron grates, cleaning is a breeze.

Do Not Buy!

I bought this oven and about 2 years in the oven stopped igniting on its own. I was told the cost to have it fixed would be about the same as a new stove. So I bought another stove the same one, stupid me. Here we go again the exact same problem. Sorry to say I don't trust the name Kenmore anymore.

Pretty good for the price

The only thing that isn't great about this stive are the burner grates, they are very cheap and I don't like the look of them being raised so high. It was hard to see this online when I ordered it may have persuaded me not to.

Freestanding Stove

I really love this stove my previous stove was a 24 inch one, I have more space to cook and bake. But what is really helpful is the controls on this unit. The oven you touch bake and touch the arrow up and it go to 350. As some one who is vision impared it give you the freedom of cooking and not having to ask what temp do I have this. what a joy.

Owned for 15 months and already spending over $200 to repair.

I purchased this for my summer house 15 months ago and have only used the stove for about 6 months. Just found out that the safety valve is defective and is leaking gas into the house. Since I bought it 15 months ago it isn't under warranty. The replacement part is $180 not including labor to install.

dangerous design

I bought this stove, its the only one i could afford at the time. because we were and still are redoing the kitchen , the stove is not upagainst a wall on eitherside. well much to my surprize when my grandson (age 3) zoomed by on his scooter the pot of food flew off the stove. It has happened a few more times since. yes probably the stove needs to be more leveled, but the burner grates are too high. without the sides being highter there is some danger there. will not buy this type of design again

Quality, budget friendly range with the beauty of stainless

Cheap & stainless, the two usually don't go well together in the appliance world. Thankfully, this range is an exception.I was pleasantly surprised with the quality construction of the range. It has galvanized metal under the lift up range top, ensuring rust resistance. The oven door has a solid feel to it, and the burner controls all operate smoothly. This range has open burners, something that has all but disappeared from ranges today. Put some aluminum foil under the lift up top and forget about spills. Many people prefer sealed burners for ease of cleanup, I simply throw the foil away when too much **** piles up and put new foil down; easy, simple, and hardly inconvenient. The oven keeps an accurate temperature, and the broil drawer is simple to use, even with casserole dishes. Other reviewers have commented on the lack of oven insulation, it does not bother me, and is typical of any non self-cleaning oven.Simply put, this was the perfect range for my limited budget.

Great buy for good stove

My old stove was gradually breaking and I needed a new one soon. Plus I was on a major budget due to other bills. I was not expecting the cadillac of stoves. It took me alot of shopping around and I scored a great buy for a quality stove.

Functional, not fancy, at a good price

This oven is a decent one for a cheap price. I bought it 6 months ago and cook a lot. It does have some annoying quirks though, so if you cook a lot and can afford a better one get it. issues: burners are slick, especially with irregular pots, like setting a roaster pan on them to cool. Burners tend to go out when adjusting to low, so do a visual check too. They don't fill the room with gas though, there must be a safety. The outside does get really hot, but not enough to burn on contact. it heats up a room too. I like doing cinnamon toast in the broiler drawer, and I like the digital oven temp and ready light. It seems to bake evenly and everything else has worked fine.

Great Basic Oven/Range

Had for about a year, easy to use, and clean. Up to oven temp quickly. Stove burners are a little touchy to adjust, and have no markings for High, Med., Low.
