Kenmore range

Burners,oven & broiler all work beautifully as a new range should. Outside shows every crumb & speck of dust & streaks if not dried after cleaning but that's a small complaint as it works so well.

Okay range with useless door lock

It is a simple and easy to use gas oven range except for door lock function. You can lock the door only when the oven is not in use. Duh? Door lock function and Stop are on the same button.Here is works.1. Preheat2. Put food in the oven 3. Push door lock button(=stop button) and hold it for 3 minutes, it shuts off oven and then door is locked.4. Try to turn on the oven again but the control panel is already locked as the door is locked.Am I missing something?Why would you lock oven door when is not in use?Is it supposedly be used as a safety box maybe?

Bisque range

fits perfectly in the space I had. Love the simmer and power burners. Oven heats evenly and is quiet.

Gas Range

The Gas Range has a great look and ease of use. I would prefer if the knobs were placed where a small child would not have the opportunity or chance to turn on the burners.

I knew buying a Kenmore would be a mistake

Sears used to sell quality, but over the years they have majorly declined. I should have known better, but decided to give this model a shot. There were just so many good reviews that I thought maybe they got one right (a broken clock is right twice a day, right?) 5 months later and it's already broken and in need of repair. My previous oven was over 30 years old and no breakdowns (not a Sears product) They're coming next week to (hopefully) fix it, but until then, I can't use it. I'm just glad it's still under warranty. I wish this oven didn't have the digital programming for the oven temp control. It seems all ovens have that feature now instead of turning the **** for the temperature. If something goes wrong with the electronic component for the digital readout, then the oven won't work. Do a google search on 'kenmore oven digital readout doesn't work' and you'll see how many hits you get.

I like the range, But have a couple complaints. I got a good deal when I bought the range on sale. But then found out Sears wanted another $310 to deliver, convert to LP, and install. That would have almost doubled what I paid for it. Why can't Sears offer a gas range than is already set up to use LP gas? I have installed other major appliances, so I did this one myself too and saved all that money. It really wasn't that hard and for sure not worth $310 labor. I noticed it was built flimsy compared to my old range. After it was installed, I noticed it rattled, a lot. Every time you walked across the kitchen floor or a truck went past, the range would rattle in the area of the clock. I took it all apart and had to put spacers between the flimsy tin to keep it from rattling.

I like it but they installed an anti tip device and now I can't openmy cabinets because the range sits three inches from the wall nowinstead of one inch like the old kenmore
