This grill has handled everything we've thrown at it perfectly. The searing burner makes a big difference in flavor and juciness. Very very easy to ignite. It went together fairly quickly. It looks sharp and coordinates with our deck furniture and exterior paint beautifully. I appreciate the thick doors...most models at this price had only one thin sheet of steel which I could have folded with my hand. These are sturdy-double thick doors seen on higher end models in the $500-600 range
In regards to the rust on the cast iron grates. Well if you cook with cast iron pans you know that they will rust in a matter of hours if left wet, dirty, and un-oiled. So I have been treating my grates just like I do my pans...clean immediately while still hot, without water and defintiely without soap (soap is the enemy of iron!) Oil before and after use. The best way to do this: Cut an onion in half, stick it on the end of your meat fork, dip the cut side in vegetable oil and run it over the hot grates. It cleans, seasons, and oils all in one step, and the seasoning will get better with every use. I would never sacrifice the flavor and heat retention of iron for the slick looks and easy cleanup of steel.
Bought this to replace a 15 yr old Weber gas grill. Quality of components is good. Instructions are not very well written, and illustrations are difficult to see in order to determine which washer, etc. goes with which bolt. It took much longer than I thought to put this together.
After only a few months of use, one of the burners wouldn't light automatically. The burner next to it would light. Wires are not mixed, it is the same set up as when it was working before. So I just light it with a long lighter. Otherwise, it functions just as a grill should and we really like the mocha color. I also bought the grill cover and it keeps the grill protected during the winter.

For its price, this is an excellent grill. The grill ignites quickly and the large burners heat the cooking area rapidly. Heat is distributed evenly across the entire cooking area. I would buy this grill again.
It's very sturdy, works well and looks great on our patio.
My other grill finally died, more like fell apart from corrosion. Purchased this one due to the features, price, and positive reviews. Very easy to assembly, some reviews stated otherwise but in my opinion it's quite easy and only took a few hours at the most. All parts fit well together, no issues. Seems to be pretty solid unit and looks very nice in this color. There are cheaper units and more expensive units, but for the price I'm happy with it. Hooked the tank up and all burners fired up fine. Cooks well too. I would recommend it.
I'm very happy with this grill. It works great. It's probably the best grill I've owned, and I've had a few.
Steaks and hamburgers are juicy and cooked perfectly when using the searing burner to start the cooking process. The Grill is very well made.
Works beautifully .....
this is a great grill have had it for awhile
This is a great grill. We have had it for several years and all the features still work. Even the clicker that lights the grill that usually goes out.
Love this grill so far. I can't speak to the long term durability, but so far it has been a great grill. Love the searing burner. It did take my husband a couple of hours to put it together though.
