The Kenmore 5' Gas Range connector is a must have item.

Having a new Kenmore 5' gas range connector is the key with installing your new gas range. Old connectors wear out in the fitting where the seal may have been broken by age or by moving the connector several times turning the threads creating gaps for gas to escape. The new connector is packaged with several sized fittings to adapt to your main line in your home with ease. It comes with thread tape for proper seal and a soap solution to check for leaks after threads have been tightened. If you see bubbles after you have turned the gas on to your main line, turn the gas main off, ventilate the room for 1/2 hour, re-tighten and try once more with the soap solution test. This is to ensure that you have no gas leak. The nice thing about delivery of your appliance is that the delivery team will professionally hook up your connector for you at no charge. You must purchase the connector at time of delivery scheduling. If you have any questions about your appliance, call your local Kmart appliance dept. and we will help you.

Don't buy if you need earthquake protection....

It's just a hose but if you're in California, check your city/county's code. If you need earthquake protection - get a kit from ***************** and add the valve you need. The cost is $27 and includes a 48" hose.

Doesn't Fit

This was recommended when I purchased a range. Problem is it doesn't fit the range connection. Another brilliant on-line recommendation from Sears.

I feel much safer with this connector as the one I had was about 25 years old. I do not smell any gas and they hooked everything up perfectly.

Required & worth it

We had a new gas stove installed by the Sears installation team. A mew connector was required to be purchased in advance and is a really good idea. Moms last stove lasted 30 years and it was time for a new connector.

good product

It works great, Just pay attention to the connections at the range. If the connection is at the bottom and range needs to flush with the wall the wall gas connection has to be as close the floor as possible.

Gas Range Connector

I don't recall that the gas range connector that was used on our new Kenmore 30 inch Gas Range / Stove was 60 inches, more like a foot or 15 inches long, but it was installed quickly and is working quite well.

It is being connected to my new Gas Stove top, haven't had a chance to use it yet. My kitchen isn't finished, the contractor is installing in new cabinetry.

I was told it was universal fit, but it did not. I needed a few more parts to get this line to work.

not good

couldn,t use the connector that was delivered with the range. It was the wrong length and missing a coupler on one end. My plumber had the right one and all was well except that I had to make another trip to Sears
