All you need

Great dryer - a step up from the most basic gas dryer and well worth it. It has a timed setting, auto dry and just air only. Plus you can adjust the heat setting as needed - we use medium mostly (high is really hot). The inside is huge but it does have a light to see inside. The best part is the drop-down opening - this is hard to find in most dryers. Not super fancy - but it drys great and is a solid value.

Not good. It never stops

I bought this dryer two weeks ago. It seems that the timer is not working. It just keeps on spinning no matter what setting you set it on. Also, the end of cycle signal is not working. I was a Kenmore fan until I bought this. It is frustrating. I went back today to the store and arranged for the return. I am not buying another Kenmore dryer.

Thermostat has burned out three times

The repair man keeps telling us "there must be something in the exhaust line", which there is not. There is no explanation for this other than a faulty design.

Very nice machine

This is a good choice if you're interested in a spacious dryer that doesn't have all the electronics of the more expensive models, but still has plenty of settings to handle different types of fabrics, different modes of drying, etc. I bought this to replace an old Kenmore dryer, and I'm very pleased.

Love It!!

I love the drop down door enabling me to fold clothes, check dryness, etc. The simplicity of the settings is a must as I'm too busy to try to figure out what settings I need to poke in. This has a large drum which allows me to put large items in. I would recommend this dryer to everyone!

A perfect simple dryer with dryness sensor

I wanted a simple dryer with manual controls and a dryness sensor, and this is exactly it. I was replacing a Hotpoint (also GE) with similar analog controls and wanted something similar . This dryer has the same narrower width but an extra cubic foot of interior capacity, plus the dryness sensor. I did a conversion to LP and it works beautifully.

After a few weeks

Purchased online with store pick up. Has enough features to satisfy our family of four's needs. Only mistake I made was not noticing that the lint filter is located on top which is a feature I do not like. Other than that so far so good.

Terrific unit, extra capacity helps reduce drying time

Best dryer we've ever had. Large capacity allows for more room for the clothes to move, which I think reduces the drying time, and pretty dramatically too. I like that there's a light inside the dryer, and that the interior is white. . .makes it easy to see and pull out the laundry. Lots of drying options helps us avoid over-drying any items.

I have a GE dryer very similar. Mine is 5 years old. Works great drys clothes quickly. I have never had a repair issue
