Kenmore 7.5 cu. ft. Gas Dryer

Had this dryer for about three weeks now, replacing a Jenn-Air with bad bearings and a host of other issues. This dryer, essentially a Whirlpool, is pretty quiet and works as expected. We like the fact that the door opens down, as our basement floor is not in good condition and we'd almost always drop a pair of damp underwear when moving loads. Only downside was when someone (who will remain nameless) left a gum wrapper in their pants and it was a bit of a reach when getting to the back of the dryer to clean the gum residue with the door in the way.Overall, we're pleased with the purchase. We'll be even more pleased if the dryer lasts 15 years.

I bought a Kenmore 76002 Gas Drier in Sept 2012 and have just had it. I called the Service Department because when I put in a load to dry the machine rolls them into a ball so tight that the center NEVER dries. The tech on the line went and ask another Tech and they said that ths is how their machine also worked. I asked if this was acceptable by the standards of Kenmore and she said yes. As far as being effectant running the machine for 3 hours to dry one sheet does not seem very acceptable to me. As far as Kenomre goes I have always thought that they had good quality merchandise. NOT THIS TIME. if your thinking about purchasing this machine you save your money and buy a long clothes line and a rock. this machine is junk...
