Ice maker

I bought a new Kenmore refrigerator in Summer of 2004 with an installed ice maker. My spring water started to get muddy and I had to go to city water. I bought a new ice maker in Spring 2007 because the old one broke a part with the dirt in the water. It was very easy to install and by buying a whole new one instead of just parts, I will have an ice maker for much more than 2.5 years as the water is clear now. The parts kits looked hard to install, but the whole new one is just three nuts and the water line. Way cheaper than having a repairman in to fix it.

Should have bought fridge with ice maker

This product comes with a Whirlpool installation guide, maybe it will fit a Whirlpool, does not fit the Kenmore I bought, which claimed to be ice maker ready. Spec says it will work on Kenmores from 1993 to present. Upon further reading I realized I had missed a word "select". No hint of which models fell into that catorgory.

ice maker

I am very dissapointed in the ice maker. Just before the warrenty ran out it quit working and the repairman had to install a new gear. Now it does not work at all anymore. The thing isn't more than 5 or 6 years old. I cant believe a company like sears would have such a bad product. Guess I should have went with GE

it's ok

this is a basic icemaker which I could have purchased for $50.00 had I known ...I have a Kenmore refridgerator & thought a kenmore icemaker would fit -it's much smaller than the origenal but does work - price was $100.00 plus tax .
