I really feel as if this product could be made to last longer. It seems as though every time you turn around you need to replace this filter. My husband finally brought a brita water filter so that we could cut down on the usage of the filter. This seem like it is just an expensive feature that could be improved on.

It is very easy to install with a simple half turn. It lasts about twice as long as the standard recommended time frame, which is about a year instead of six months.

The filter for me lasts about a year. I wait until I see the replace filter symbol on the fridge before replacing. There is no taste to the water and it is very easy to change the filter. Just turn to the left and pull out. To install, put in the filter and turn to the right to lock it in.
