I use all of its 575 watts of power! 6 quarts really is not allot. I use this mixer for mixing meet in sausage and hamburgs. Wow. Works really great and clean up easy!! It's worth the extra money.

Bought this mixer about 5 yrs ago & it's still going strong. No big complaints, it's efficient and does the job. It has made many yrs worth of Christmas cookie dough, bread dough, cake mixes, etc. all without a hitch. Sometimes the paddle doesn't get all ingredients at the bottom of the bowl but it's nothing that I can't quickly mix by hand. The top of the mixer doesn't tilt up and back, instead the bowl lifts up or down by a handle on the right side. I never use the plastic shield it came with. I have yet to buy other attachments but planning on it very soon. It's heavy & durable & worth every penny. Sometimes when mixing dough you can hear the motor working hard when the dough is almost done but it doesn't seem to affect anything. Still works like the day I bought it. It comes with a paddle, whisk, dough hook and plastic shield. Bowl is large which is one of the reasons why I purchased this particular model as well as for the stainless steel attachments. All extremely durable. Cleans easy with hot water for a quick cleanup. Unit is very heavy so it doesn't bounce around on the counter at all. I just made chocolate frosting in it earlier tonight, took less than 5 min. made shortbread cookie dough a few weeks ago, mixed in minutes. I also frequently make dough for bagels and the dough comes out perfect no joke. Worth every penny, you'll seriously have it for years.

Excellent Standmixer

I use this standmixer almost every day for cupcakes, cookies, breads and whipped cream just to name a few. It performs great and has the power I need to get the job done. I also perfer the bowl lift feature as aposed to the head tilt found in the smaller models.

Bought this for my daughter who is going to baking/ pastry school. She's used it twice so far and loves it. Got it at Sears for a great price. Well worth it.

Great for making sausage with the grinder attachment

I really like this mixer. It is powerful and can handle big batches of cookie dough and I like to use the grinder for making fresh hamburger and making sausage.

Works like a gem! Handles doughs with ease.

I have owned this Kitchenaid for 2 years now and use it often for bread, cookies as well as light mixing like cream. It makes my work easy and my husband is pleased that I make his favorite carmel rolls again!

Long-lasting mixer

I have had my Kitchenaid mixer for years and it works great. I have used it to make Wedding cakes and other cakes, so it has gotten plenty of use. It is heavy so it does not bounce around when mixing. You can purchase additional accessories, like extra bowls and covers in store.

I have fallen in love with the KitchenAid 6 qt. Stand Mixer

This mixer is a work horse! I made two batches each of muffins and cinnamon rolls before the mixer over heated. At that point it was working for over an hour solid through thick dough. It was ready to go again after about a half hour. There is NO way a smaller less powerful mixer could have pulled all that off! The size of the bowl alone is awesome let alone all of the attachments that work better for this mixer than the other smaller ones. If you are looking for a mixer you will love, I think this one is it! It's the "one" for me!

I have heard stories about the mixer falling of the counter (operator error) and the things still mix it's batch while laying sideways on the floor.

This is the last mixer you or I will need to buy. I am extremely happy with mine.

My mother got this for me for christmas and it makes baking a breeze, the biggest difference it has made for me is in making meringue recipes.. it is so easy and easy to clean and the flour doesn't splash and puff everywhere.. still does a little but hey its flour right...

this is great and looks nice on my counter so i don't feel like i have to hide it in a cabinet which is great because it is HEAVY
