LG refrigerator is a good value

I bought this LG fridge as part of a package, I was a litle skeptical after reading some negative reviews. But so far I am pleased with this unit, it does what a refrigerator is suppose to do...keep cold food cold and frozen food frozen. There is always alot of ice, my one complaint is the icemaker selection buttons on the door are hard to read and not very user friendly. The freezer side has more space than I really need, so this unit would work well for a family of 4 or more.

LG side-by-side with water/ice dispenser

Owned for 3 yrs, major problems with ice dispenser breaking(replaced twice); ice container cover broke once. Major rust is occuring beneath the ice/water dispenser insert on the front of the door. Neither the manufacturer nor Sears accepts responsibility for the poor performance of this unit.

So far so good

We purchased this side-by-side fridge after our extra fridge in the garage died on us. We were looking to replace it with a cheap one. We walked into Sears and our sales person was very helpful in determining what our needs and goals were to determine the best fridge. After a while, we decided to move our kitchen fridge to the garage and replace that one instead. We decided on this LG because it was quite large (26.5 cu ft) and had simple but necessary features (ice maker, water dispenser, digital temp controls). It is not a fancy refrigerator but meets our expectations, especially for the price. I've heard the ice maker is not the greatest but I haven't used it enough to noticed. I will have to update my review after a few months. For now, we are happy with it. Time will tell.

Love my new LG Side-by Side

I love my new refrigerator. It has a nice sized freezer that is perfect for my husband and me. The shelves in the door of the 'fridge' are nice and actually wide enough for a change to store condiments, dressings, and tall bottles.

Love this item

We recently moved and had to get a frig. After looking around for a week we came across this frig at **********. After they did not have any and it would of taken a week to get we found the same one at sears and it was $100 less they were able to get us one in two days. This frig had great reviews and all were true the led lights on the inside are real nice and it has lots of space. The water and ice maker works well with no problems.

Great product for the price

the refrigerator is exceptiionally quiet. It's very attractive. The interior light in the refrigerator section does take up quite a bit of useable space. I did order an extra tray for the refrigerator door which provided additonal storage space.

i hate it

This refridgerator is junk!!!!!! Do not buy it. The door that regulates the temp between the fridge and the freezer either freezes open or freezes shut and things in the fridge are either warm or froozen. I have to take mine apart AT LEAST once a week now to repair it

Icemaker is terrible

Overall the fridge works pretty well. The icemaker is horrendous and might as well not exist.

It has been repaired several times and is now out of warranty. It makes ice, and covers the entire area below in water that freezes as well as the dispenser pops out making the through the door capability not function.
Customer service is not at all helpful

Ice, Ice baby …

I can’t tell for how long we have had this Fridge, in a nut shell we’ve had it for as far back as I can remember, and she works GREAT. Ice, Cold waters NO problem. Year after Year performance, haven’t disappointed me yet. Keep up the good old cooling work old girl.
