Baking and cooking

We purchased this range five months ago and we have not had any problems. The eyes work very well and heat up very quickly. However, the oven does take a bit longer to heat up and the convection feature appears to add incremental value. We purchased one fan not the dual fan. Perhaps the dual fan is more effective?

Terrible - Don't waste your time or money

What seemed like a very good deal on a nice looking range turned into a nightmare. We read and followed all directions prior to using the first time and still had a couple minor scratches after first use. Second attempt we took extra care to make sure the pots were perfectly clean and flat only to have horribly noticeable scratches.

Aside from the intolorably delicate cook top the front right burner is so larger it will rarely ever get used. They should have made this element adjustable in size instead of sticking you with 1/3 of the cooktop, in the front no less, which will barely be used and go to waste. We've had it for less than a week and are returning it.

Would give it 0 stars if I could.

Outstanding Range!

To put it quickly, it changed the way we cook - or - made it more fun. Very stylish, very durable, very fun to cook on.

Worst Oven Ever

Unbelievable waste of money! We purchased this high-end electric range along with a high-end LG diswasher, an LG microwave and an LG steam washer and dryer combo for a total of over $6,000 in LG appliances.

We have had major problems with the diswasher, the range and the microwave. LG DOES NOT stand behind anything they produce! Our problems began occurring within 3 days of these appliances being in our home and now, it's almost a joke how worthless these items are.

The cooktop on the range cooks fine, however, it is easily scratched and a challenge to clean. The real problem is the oven. It does not maintain an even temperature in either regular or convection mode. If the temperature is set at 375, it will drop within a few minutes to 340, while baking something. So, this requires that the temperature of the oven be set higher than recommended for a particular dish and then that I return to check the temperature, turn the oven off and reset it to the original temperature within a few minutes of beginning to back so that the oven will reheat and get back to temperature for at least part of the cooking time.

Great Range. I'm enjoying it.

I love the oven. I've been without one for two years. Its great to have this for the holidays. My only problem is finding a place that has guidance on cooking with the convection features.

I expected much better for the price.

My problem is with the buttons. Everything else is OK.

For this price and from LG I expected more. Very hard to push the buttons. You have to push so hard you feel like you are pushing the whole range back!!

Oven settings to the temerature you desire in NOT intuitive. You have to learn it every time.

I expected touch sensitive technology in this day and age especially from LG.

LG range cooks well and I love it!

I love the way this range cooks. The temp on the stove top works well so and doesn't burn soup when cooking. I had left a cake in the oven 10 mins longer than required and the cake came out perfectly! I don't find it any more difficult to clean than any other smooth top and love the look! I have had no issues with thie range in the 6 mos using it.

Inside of oven is flaking off! Horrible!

We purchased this range in July of 2009. Yes, the top was scratched after the first use, but I figured I could live with that. now, after using the self-clean the bottom of the oven is flaking off! Small, blue, SHARP shards are flaking off. This is dangerous! LG says, "too bad". don't buy this range. Look online...many people are dissatisfied with this product, and now so am I.

The LG looks goodd but miserable to keep clean.

We purchased this because LG has good reviews. After a remodeling our kitchen in February, I decided on this range. The range also was on sale and had the convection feature. I have had a ceramic top range before and loved it. This range is very attractive but is so miserable to keep clean. Any spills or drips on cooktop or in oven require some major cleaning effort. Even slight spills are hard to clean up. I am very fussy about cleaning up and I find this extremely frustrating in keeping it clean. It even left marks in the oven after wiping up a dripping casserole and then running the self clean. Baking is also a challange. I must drag out the manual to find what shelf to place the racks on or your food comes out undone or over done. It seems to have trouble baking bread products decently. I am an avid baker and I am really disappointed in this oven. It requires extra baking time if you have more then 2 dishes in the oven. It doesn't seem to bake evenly. So far the controls are working okay. I am worried after reading previous remarks.

Love Hate LG

Okay. The top is impossible to clean and had it only two months and two notable scratches. BUT...I love the inside and this area cleans perfectly! Love the stove overall, the look, the price but have to exchange it OR buy the extended warranty which covers all cosmetic issues as well. Perhaps LG knows they need to improve on this product. In a dilemma to try another one, with the extended warranty or spend another $500 for a Kenmore. What to do? Can anyone recommend another make and model?

LG Convection Range

Cooks OK. Too many small burners, not enough useful ones. Burners too close to back of range to be useful. Top is IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean. As other online reviewers said, it does not cook evenly either. 2 months and I am looking to replace it. Horrible.
