Perfect Home Ladder

I use this ladder all of the time; it's the only one I need to keep around the house for anything beyond the reach of a step stool. I think I have used it every which way is possible, including taking one of the sides off so I can fit it into the narrow attic opening.

Pros: versatile, can add accessories, very sturdy, collapsible cons: accessories have to be purchased separately (M22 model), rungs are narrowThis ladder feels very safe when I am on the 3rd from top rung! I am afraid of heights but this felt strong and sturdy. I didn't like the narrow foot rungs, my feet got sore while I was on it over a half an hour in my lightweight sneakers.I am going to purchase the step attachment (extra $30) and the wheels (another $30). It is a bit heavy but not any heavier than other ladders. I like that is is collapsible. That makes it easy to carry up the stairs.Its very easy to extend. It is a good purchase

Little Giant M22 Type 1 Aluminum Ladder

When I purchased this I had heard alot of good things about it, the only thing that was holding me back was the price. But after talking myself into buying it, I wish I would of done it along time ago. I have used alot of different ladders through the years and this one works just as good or even better them most of them. But with this one you get multiple ladders in one package. I would definitely recommend this ladder to anybody. If you can afford it spend a little more and get this ladder it will stand up to rigorous work plus it has multiple uses

The Little Giant M22 ladder is extremely flexible

My wife and I purchased this ladder to replace a flimsy aluminum step ladder and a large wooden ladder. It was more than we wanted to pay, but it is well worth the investment. In one ladder you get the functionality of several different ladders. It is easy to work with and is very sturdy. While it is heavier than other ladders of its type, it is much easier to carry and store than an equivalent aluminum or wood extension ladder.

We recently saw an updated model at a home show going for about a "special price" that was $250 more than what we paid at Sears! It did come with a few accessories not included in this model, but not $250 worth!

This is a fantastic product for it's intended purpose.

The guy who blabbed "not completely safe" mysteriously with no supporting dialog doesn't know what he's talking about. He's probably the same guy who thinks hammers aren't completely safe because he always bashes his thumb when he tries to drive a nail!

As a system meant to replace multiple, single function ladders it is VERY SAFE and effective. Yes, there is a bit of operational compromise compared to standard designs.. Most will say it seems a bit heavy and (compared to a basic light duty aluminum step ladder) it is, but it's about the same weight as an extension ladder and if your task calls for both it's nice to only have to carry one. The other compromise, by my reckoning, is the height adjustment compared to a standard extension ladder isn't as convenient.. that pull rope/drop back of a standard type is definitely better, but I'd trade that any day for the ability to 'dial in' the height when deployed as a step ladder.. That is extremely useful. Makes it great for indoor or outdoor use.

MADE IN USA feels pretty good too, and this product represents a high quality execution of a very good design. The lock mechanisms are strong, positive, east to use, and visually obvious as to whether they are engaged or free. A completely safe ladder and quite possibly the last one you'll ever need.

Little giant 22ft ladder: Super!

I bought one of these same ladders in 1995 at a Home Improvement Show. It is super sturdy, and is actually a ladder system that configures into several types, like an A frame, Extension Ladder, or even 2 A frame ladders. It can be set up on stairs. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this, but I will tell you, it is quite heavy; I think it weighs about 45 pounds. Yo can see it in action on a demo video at the manufacturer's web site Little Giant. The demonstrator makes it look easy, and he must be super strong. Back in 1995, I was stronger than I am now at 67 years old, and its weight never concerned me. As heavy as it is, I still love this ladder and prefer using it over anything else I or anybody else have. It is super sturdy (oh, I said that before, but it really is!)
