Maytag dishwasher

We replaced our 20 year old maytag dishwasher recently. The pump wasn't working properly and decided to replace rather than try to repair it since it was so old anyway. I love the new one, it's so quiet at first I kept checking to see if it was working. Sears is our go to place for appliances and electronics. Many times we've spent a day or two comparing prices and always come back to Sears.

Worst ever

Just bought it - ran it twice - very loud and very long cycle. Is three hours really necessary for a normal wash time? With this awful buzzing noise during the last two hours. Don't ever run it when you are home. If my 20 year old washer had not leaked it would keep it.

Maytag Jetclean is awesome

I replaced a 20 yr old Kitchenaid that was so loud and on its last leg. This Maytag is sooo quiet, it whispers! Great choice of washes, but prefer the light wash. It even got baked on stuff off my sauce pans! The install was provided by Sears, excellent job! I have always relied on Sears for all my appliances for 50 years.

COULD BE BETTER FOR THE PRICE

It does not seem to clean as good as my old Maytag that I had for ten years, but finally gave out. I wish I would have waited and looked at others before purchasing.

It actually washes dirty dishes!

Not the quietest, shortest cycle time, least water requiring, but it does wash dishes with no prerinsing! Days of dried on food and baked on lasagna came off in just 1 cycle! Works great!

Very Disappointed with this Product

Update: My dissatisfaction with this dishwasher has only increased since my last review. The racks continue to frustrate with their inability to move smoothly, and dishes just don't fit nicely. The design of the top rack is just stupid in my opinion, we don't have larger than average glassware, but our glasses just don't fit in the rows the way that they should, they end up taking up two rows and eliminating space for other things. I'm unimpressed with the cleaning cycles and don't think they're very effective, to clean an average load of dishes the tough scrub cycle is essential, which is also the longest and probably most energy consuming cycle. Our last Maytag broke down after 4 short years, the only reason we stuck with the brand is b/c in addition to the break down there was also a fire hazard in the last one that led to a $150 rebate on a new Maytag, hence this purchase.

Maytag wins me over

I have been using this daily for the last 3 weeks and it is the best dishwasher i have ever owned. I use the autoclean option and have yet seen a dirty dish or pan come out. Always spot free glasses, Of course I do have a water softener which does make a big difference. I have no regrets buying this dishwasher!!

This is the Dyson of all Dishwashers

You know those annoying friends that show you how great their vacuum is every time you visit? I am that same person only with my dishwasher. I never have a sink full of dirty dishes because all my dishes go from the table straight into the dishwasher. I NEVER rinse my dishes. 99% of the time, the dishes come out clean and if I do get a fork that didn't get 100% clean, I just run it through one more time without stress and it gets cleaned the second time. Seriously, don't stress over the occasional plate or fork that doesn't get all the way clean, just run it through a second time. It's that easy.

I bought this on sale plus I used an online coupon code. I decided to get the five year warranty too because it includes one free maintenance visit a year where they come out and check it for free and replace anything that may be worn down. I am going to buy another five year warranty once this one is up.

Nice and Quiet Dishwasher

The sleek design and the fact the the tube material's stainless steel are great. Love that it isn't noisy at all, you can barely hear a thing when it's in operation. Awesome product.

Lousy job

This did not get the dishes clean. I put a casserole dish on the top rack (not burnt on or dried on, nothing blocking it from below) it was not even close to clean, using the normal cycle; I ran it again (while still wet) on the auto detect setting - still not clean. Now it is running for the third time (still wet from the previous cycle) on the "Jetclean steam" setting. This dish should have gotten clean on a "normal" cycle.

The adjustable rack it ludicrous. You have to completely remove the rack from the machine, and reposition it on the second set of wheels and put it back in, making sure as you push it back in that all four wheels are lined up correctly. If you have the rack already loaded and you realize that a glass is too tall you have to unload the entire rack before the height can be adjusted. An elderly person would find this very awkward if not impossible to do. This machine is going back. shame on you Maytag!

Love

I had dishes sitting in the sink that had not been rinsed off because I wanted to see if this dishwasher would do what it says. And it did things I had to scrub before putting in my old one came out clean in the new one no scrubbing before. very very quiet I have a water distiller that is Louder than this dishwasher. very easy to install if you have the right space.

Maytag dishwasher quiet and cleans well

Easy to install works very well and very quiet. Highly recommended. Price was great too since there was $100 off sale (699 list) and I found a coupon online for another 50. Ordered on line and picked up at the nearest store same day.. Way easy...

I love my Maytag.

I am very happy with the product. It is quiet and cleans the dishes well. It recommends Jet Dry, but I have been satisfied with how well it dries without it.

My Maytag dishwasher is quiet and roomy.

With open concept homes, quiet dishwashers are a must. I had my doubts about this one at 53 decibels, but it is much more quiet than I dreamed. Installation was staightforward and relatively easy.

Best dishwasher ever!

I have used this dishwasher for about twenty loads since I bought it and it is amazing! My dishes come out spotlessly clean even when my grandson loads it without rinsing and it is so quiet I have to put my ear up to the front panel to make sure that it is actually running! I shopped around a lot before I made this purchase and I feel that I truly found a bargain on this appliance.
