Got several bags when it goes on sale. Works well in the Sears water softener. No problem so far. I had been using KCl in the past until I found out there's no difference between the two. Just that potassium is better for plants but my drainage goes straight to the sewer so it doesn't matter in the end. Saved money since NaCl is much cheaper than KCl.
I have used other brands for my salt water softener but none of them work as well as Morton. You will need to buy it when its on sale though as it is expensive otherwise.
The Morton salt is great for water softening. Like the product, just a little more expense compared to other options. Still recommend them when they are on sale.
I have found Morton Water Softening Salt Pellets to be the best and most effective brand in the water softening category. I have used it for many years. The Sears price was excellent and the order and oick-up process was outstanding.
It is salt and works fine in the water softener
The pellets in Morton System Saver II salt are always perfectly clean with no impurities. It is the only salt I trust in my Kenmore water softener. The bags are easy to carry with nice handles that do not bite into your skin. The bags also have a tear open corner for easy opening without scissors.
This is the only water softening salt pellets I use now. Had problems with other water softening salt in the past but have not had any problems using the Morton Pellets for overs 10 years. Worth the extra cost to avoid crusting and other problems.
It's just the best salt pellets you can buy!
