I love my scooter

I've had a few minor problems with it but their help desk got me the parts I needed and its all under warranty. It runs like a champ and the kids fight over it. We use it every weekend and I like to ride it to the store on nice days because the parking lot down there is always crazy. It folds up so it fits under my workbench perfectly. I don't know why it gets bad reviews, ours is great.

NOT EVEN WORTH A ONE STAR RATING !!!

I read all the reviews I could find, and even though WAY more than 50 percent of the reviews were terrible, I went against my better judgement and bought one. I thought that maybe it was only the people who had bad experiences that wrote reviews, and figured I would give it a chance and see. Well, the bad reviews are there for a reason !! This scooter SUCKED from day one. Parts fell off, things broke & the company does NOT !!! I repeat.. DOES NOT return calls. This has been THE biggest waste of money ever !!! we have already replaced a gas tank, a pull start cord, the throttle is about to break next. There is no power to it anymore, AND WE HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR 3 WEEKS !!! THIS IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF **** IM SORRY I EVER SPENT MONEY ON !!!!!!! Please do not buy it thinking it will be ok.. everything about it screams made in china... down to the bolts that hold the tires in place being all different sizes... WAY BEYOND unsatisfied!!

I have seen three of these purchased

|

The first 2 lost there gas tanks the welded studs fell off . the third mainly had to do with power issues. it was fixable the carburetor air to gas adjustment screw just needed adjusted look up 2 stroke carb tuning. The company sent new gas tank and had became aware of multiple incidents. And they redesigned it unfortunately they sent the same one again exactly and it fell off . Have not attempted readdress of issue . will in future. the one with carb issue used weird screw and we just used drimill to make it accepted flat head screwdriver. screws and such come loose due to vibration you must check them often if they do might be good to use locktight on them if they do.

You could by this product and get one that runs good with no problems such as defects but you might. If you can fix stuffs easy enough and can look up information you should be able to use this device on the regular but if you do you will have to fix things that break depending on usage.
i suggest if you buy one check it for loose stuffs. Ride it according to manual for break in and use it allot before warranty runs out to check for deffects. DIYMOTORIZEDBIKE.TK check it out.
If you like quality goped is it. they are made in california.

Fuel Gauge not fuel safe

|

Got two of these at Christmas when they were on sale. Exactly what were were looking for, and worked great. However, after 7 months, the fuel gauge fell out of one, and partially dissolved in the other. The one that fell out still works ok, but I'm still trying to get the carb cleaned out of the one that dissolved. If you buy one, immediately take the crappy fuel gauge out, and plug the hole with something fuel safe (I used 2 large fender washers with a bolt to hold them together, with orings to keep them from leaking).

OK, a few problems...

|

I loved the scooter! But after a day of use the gas tank was leaking, and then the engine just seized up. I had been riding for a while full throttle. Motovox was soooo helpful in sending replacements-- still under warranty. OK, but don't expect the best.

the best ever!

|

it vibrates, that would mean you would need to tighten up the parts occasionally, especially the air intake, when that is loose it won't start. also the video's and helpful hints on motovox website is good to review. there is a bulb you also push to get the gas to the engine before starting it. knowing where it is will help with starting the scooter. we love them. we've bought 3 and will probably pick up another 2 in the next few weeks. grandkids are so excited!

You also must do the 40:1 ratio for oil. If you don't pay attention to the directions and then review the website because there is an error in the manual, then you might be lost.

My dad never liked to read the directions first, but very important to not only read the directions but review their website.

Best value. Gas engine (don't let anyone tell you electric is more environmentally friendly - how in the world do you think they make the electricity!) Electric sucks, lasts minutes and this gas powered engine goes & goes.
