Here is a fair review.

The total price of the swing set is $345 including taxes. A common complaint is the cheapness of the wood. The wood is cedar and cedar is a soft wood that is rot resistant and bug resistant. With some additional staining, this swing set should last for awhile. The instructional booklet is a comedy of errors and the writer is a sadist. Some pieces of wood were not included. I had to create a few specialized pieces to complete the tower on the swing set. Not a big deal. I had left over hardware and left over slats. Remember you have paid a thousand dollars less than the upscale amish built ones. And remember it comes in a box. The project time totaled 6 hours by myself. Be prepared to undo what you have done and redo the piece correctly. A power drill with allen wrench bits is essential. Be sure to take the time to seperate the wood pieces. Only one piece in my box was unlabeled. The numbers were stamped on to each piece of board. I am entirely satisfied with the swing set and would recommend it to anyone, Just realize this is a beer budget item. Last but not least, my 3 year old son walked around the swing set for 15 minutes in a gleeful awe before he started to play on it. He looked out the window at several points last night to see if it was still there. Priceless.

Very low quality!

We bought this about a month ago for our 4 children. We just put it up and can already see how poor the quality is. First the directions are a joke! We followed them as best we could but several of the pieces of wood that came predrilled were done incorrectly. We managed to get the swing set up but it is not sturdy at all and its FAR smaller than in the picture. Our older children are both around 80lbs and every time they swing...even if they are alone on the swing set....the entire swing set, clubhouse and all, shifts and lifts off the ground. I am afraid to let them use it because it doesn't seem like it would take long for the entire swing set to fall apart. Someone is going to get hurt. It's great for my 2 year old but I don't even know if he will be able to use it next year. Don't waste your money on this swing set, you will be disappointed.

This is a very reasonable playset, the kids all love it. Putting it together was interesting, and we had to improvise a lot of the pieces. We had to strengthen the frame and repaint all the wood with water seal.
The wood is very soft and fragile, could use some improvement.

We bought this swing set for our 2 and 3 yr old boys. It is very important to be organized when you start or it could be overwhelming to put together. That said, it took my husband and I 4 hrs to put it together. It is smaller than some sets but I am glad it is. My boys would probably just get hurt on a bigger one when they decide to push the other one off. It's a great price and my boys love it. When we put it together we had no problems until the last step which was the slide. It came in several pieces and when we started looking we had two right sides and no left. My husband took one of the parts to kmart to see if they could help us. They were so nice and helpful. The guy opened another box to exchange the part for us but realized that the slide was a 1 piece slide in the box. So he gave us all the parts needed to switch to the new slide and just had us bring back the other parts. I am so glad we got this set for our kids. They LOVE it!

Not a bad swing set for the price

Yes the wood is cheap and if you are not careful the screws will strip but for the money this good playset. We have 3 boys 7,6,and 3 and they love it. The directions can be a bit confusing and make sure that the holes are aligned properly. If we get 3 to 5 years of play out of it, it was money well spent. My 6 year old said that we now have the coolest backyard in the neighborhood.

got this so that the kids could finally use our is NOT what we expected at all..screws stripped way too easy, cant tighten it down anymore either and all the screws allow for the wood to move and afraid the kids will get hurt on this!!! we will buy brackets for all the angles do help reinforce it..very cheap product for sure...will never buy this brand ever again

forget the bad reviews

i got this swing set for my 2 yr old and its perfect for him just his size. its not as big as i imagined but good for him. but im writing this for all the people who have read the bad reviews....the wood is fine not cheap, i had nothing missing everything was all there..the directions are alittle weird but its a swing set with alot of piecies come on what do you expect...its gonna be a little difficult but if 3 guys who were smoking and drinking beers while putting it together got it together in about 4 hrs, with some breaks lol,you can do. i love it the price was good you can fit more than one kid in the tree house part...but most important my son loves it...good purchase.

Birthday swing set

We purchase the swing set for our 1 year old grandsons birthday. We had a family day with food and drinks to set it up. It took about 5 hours to assembly the swing set following the directions step by step. When finished the 3 grandkids had a lot of fun playing on it. My 1 year old grandson climbed up the stairs all by himself and slid down the slide face first. Over all very please with the swing set.

Plan the day around it, but it's a nice set.

I must have been one of the lucky ones as far as build quality. Everything was in the box and all the holes lined up. That said, I did have to back track a little on several separate occasions. When you're building this, note how far away the holes are from each other in the first few steps to ensure your putting the right pieces in the right spot. If you don't, you may end up having to take half of it apart later on when the holes aren't lining up. It took me about 7 hours doing it myself with a good set of tools and a power drill for the screws. I'm not a professional builder, but I am decent with my hands so I'd say 6-7 hours would be the expected time to get this together. My kids love it. They were very excited about the fact that they now have "a park in their yard" as they say it. It is a little smaller than it looks, but after tax, it was $270.00. You would have a very hard time finding a brand new play set better than this for that price.

Is ok, but needs to be a little larger and a little sturdier.

Love it!

Did an in store pick up. Easy to build with two guys. Switched one of the swings for a baby swing. Love the climbing wall, sand box, picnic table combo! Recommend this to any parents on a budget with small kids!

Don't waste your money!

This swing set was a great disappointment for me. Upon assembly most of the wood pieces split and the screws they give strip VERY easily. The flexible swings don't hang right and the awning tore and faded the first summer. This set only lasted 3 years before we had to pull it down due to safety issues. The wood is very poor quality, like a cedar stained pine.

Good product for the price

We've had the set for about a year. I have a 4 year old and a 15 month old. I did change out the standing swing with a baby swing. The swing set has been awesome for our kids and the price was great compared to other sets of the same quality. The wood is not as thick as I was thinking but for my younger kids it's great. If looking for older children I might consider looking at a set that is made of more heavy duty wood. Overall we are very pleased with the quality of the product for what we paid.

You get what you pay for.

The picture of the playset is deceiving. It is smaller than picture shows. For the smaller peices of wood, the wood screws didn't grab properly because they were too short.
