My daughter received this for Christmas and loves it! I picked it up from Sears after ordering it online and with no problem whatsoever. It works great and is a very nice looking blue color.
My Nintendo DS Lite has come up missing, but I absolutely loved being able to play brain games before bed! It somehow relaxed me! I honestly don't care for a smartphone, so this is the next best option for me!
I can't say enough about the Nintendo DS Lite. My son received one about a year and a half ago and it's still going strong. I can't tell you how many times it has been dropped. Amazingly, the DS continues to perform without a glitch! Loads of fun...hours of entertainment and the Cobalt Blue is quite dazzling!

i bought this system for my son he has many systems but he always plays this one,he loves the graphics.

I got this for my daughter for Christmas and we both love to play it!!! It is just the right size for her hands! Keeps the charge for quite a long time!! I would recommend this to anyone!!

I Tried it and I loved it I had 3 if them

Mubarak Abdelkarim

awesome gaming for on the go!

I'm a mom...bought this for my daughter 5ish yrs ago, when it came out i guess! Shortly after I had to go and get myself one bc we were fighting over it! I WAS 8-10yrs old when the original nintendo came out. I've always been a fan of all of their gaming systems! I like the fact that Nintendo makes a new system but allows u to still use games from the previous system. We currently have 3 DS Lites in the house. All over 3 yrs old..my son will be 8 and daughter will be 12 no problems w them! All 3 are very used, but you wouldn't know it! i've always kept a "SKIN" OR case on them. Never used a screen protector. No scratches and very little wear and tare. The two OLDEST have just recently "broke" the hindge that keeps the ds open doesn't do it's job anymore. I'm disappointed about that BUT BC OF THE AMOUNT OF USE, THE AGES OF THE KIDS AND FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS USUING THEM....THEY'VE BEEN THRU ALOT! IPlus I take it w me in my purse always! when waiting in line, waiting for kids to come out of school, or sitting in the dr waiting room...i always have it! The batterly life far exceeds my expectaitons. I haven't looked into it but i think i will after writing this, if the hindges can be fixed for about $10 or less, i would do it in a minute! We still use these DS's but working hindges are def a plus!

i'm not interested in the DSI, altho it is very cool and neat, i'm not overly impressed w the price! We have MANY MANY games, the most expensive are the Mario bros and Princess Peach and they were $35. I genereally find games for $20 or less!

Nintendo DS Lite is a great product, really amazed at it's capabilities, Nintendo just continues to get better and better! Can't imagine what the new Nintendo 3DS is going to be like!

i love how whenever i am going on a log trip. i can always depend on this! it's a great way to settle down the kids. mothers know what i mean about kids and long road trips. they just don't mix. they can play all kinds of games. it's just a great distraction to have for the kids.

With the DS Lite, gameplay is made a little simplar. The button placement and brighter screen make the gameplay a little better. For one, the start and select buttons have been moved to resemble where they were on the original Gameboy Advance. This makes handling some of the functions (especially for GBA games) a lot easier. The buttons, sadly, are a still a little small for guys with big hands like myself.

The DS Lite also comes with a phony GBA cartridge (called a "cap"). If you don't have a GBA game plugged into the system, you can put in the phony cartridge to keep it from collecting dust in there. However, when you do stick in a GBA game, it sticks out by about a centimeter. It just looks weird. The cap does, at least, keep the system looking good. Overall its a good hand held gaming device to get

I love the nintendo DS lite. I just purchased mine a few weeks ago, and it's so much better than the original DS in my opinion. The stylus port is a little more accessible during gameplay, and I like the shape better. The DS in general is a great handheld gaming system because of the advanced graphics, affordability, and the backlit screen, introduced with the gameboy advance SP, is a great enhancement.

This is really handy to have when you are waiting and need something to pass the time. I like to use mine when I am waiting to pick up my kids at a ball.

The Nintendo DS lite is the second version of the Nintendo DS, coming after the first generation (commonly called DS Phat). It features a thinner, more stylish look than it's bulky older brother. It comes with a bigger stylus and brighter screens. It plays almost everything that the original works with (only like 1 accessory doesn't work with it- but I can't think of it's name off hand). It's much nicer to play than the original DS. It has 3D graphics, a microphone, built in wifi with connection to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (free) (802.11b, only supports open and WEP, not WPA/2).

The Nintendo DS Lite has a GBA slot for backwards compatability with GBA games, although it does not offer a GBA auxillery port so you can't hook up to other GBA games. Other than that, it works nearly perfectly, and even works with the GBA e-Reader, which the original DS could not due to the form factor.

Overall, the DS is a good gaming system with lots of innovation in the market. The only caveats I can think of is that the hinge that holds the top screen on has broken on many systems due to the DS slamming open or shut, which is somewhat easy to do. And on games like Mario Party DS where you use the mic alot, having 'silence' in the hinge is nearly impossible.

Other than those 2 points, I think the DS lite is better than the original DS in every way.

This is probably the best handheld gaming system I have ever had! It's great for people who like action, family games, Role-Playing games, and other great games you can play on an handheld system. The Nintendo DS has a very big variety of games and has many classic games you might have played on Nintendo back in the day. You can play your favorite games on the go and have fun when ever and where ever you want. I recommend this to anyone who plays video games! Also the DS Light is great because it has a slot for gameboy advanced games while other DS's do not. This widens your game choice even more with a lot more games and can save you money from buying a gameboy advance separately!

I received my DS as a present for my birthday a year ago. I absolutely love it! Having been a big Gameboy fan from their first appearance, I still have many original games.. the only downfall to the DS is that it cannot play original Gameboy or Gameboy color games. It plays my Gameboy advance games perfectly though. One of my favorite features with the DS is that it can connect cord-free to other players. My husband and I both have DS consols so we can play together. Also, I love that the DS folds to protect the screen from scratches- that way I can carry it in my purse and not have to worry about my keys or pens messing it up.

This is a great compact gaming system. The game selection is huge and most of them are very fun. And I love the blue color.

This is an excellent gaming device for kids, teens and adults.

The Good
+Vastly superior to the original DS
+It easily fits in your pocket
+The Screen is much brighter
+Touch screen is more durable
+A better stylus
+Good battery life

Overall, this is a good value device for the money, so buy it.

I bought one of these about a year ago, mainly to play Pokémon games on. I like it, but I don't like the fact that almost all games for it cost around $40. 95% of them aren't worth it, and the ones that are, most stores don't carry.
Bottom line: Buy this if you already know what games you're going to buy, but if you don't have any idea, don't bother.

We love the Nintendo DS Lite!! The touch screen works very well and it has a long battery life. It has very vivid color for a pocket device. It keeps all ages entertained for hours! This product is perfect for long roadtrips or waiting at the doctor's office.

Alright let's get this out of the way. The reason this lost a star is because of a couple things; 1, no original GB functionality, 2, outdated now and can't play all the new games for DSi or the upcoming 3DS. The game selection is pretty good for a handheld, the battery life is pretty good, the GBA functionality works perfectly, and the small wifi capabilities are entertaining. Overall, I'd say it is the best handheld of this current generation and it will stay that way as long as puclishers keep making good games.

Have been looking around for a good game console with education games for my daughter. This is probably one of my best present for my daughter.
