Ok... THis new DSi has it's ups and downs. Some bad things about it is that it has a lot shorter battery life than theDS Lite and the internet on it is a bit slow. But on the other hand it has 2 cameras (one on the inside and ne on the out side) a music player (you can record your voice and download music) and you can surf the web (even though it may be a little slow). But I definatly recamend this product!
love my dsi! have bought several games and havent had any problems with it.
I bought this for my son and he loves it and it is extremely easy to learn for a 5 yr old. The only recommendation is I would definitely get a protector for the DSi, other than that, I had no problems with it.
Perfect hand-held gaming system.
This was given to my special needs child for Christmas This is wonderful I never thought I could find something to keep him so calm especially while driving in the car Thanks so much for the Kmart sales associate that helped pick this out for him

The Nintendo DsiXL is so aewsome!!! It does just about everything. We got it for our 6-year-old son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it (I do too). The camera is really neat and there is a lot you can do with the pics too. We have not gotten online with it yet because my son is only 6 and I think he is too young. The nintendo dsiXL is a great gift for any person who likes to play games even the adults:)

This is a very nice video game system, it doesn't cost a lot of money and it works well. It has slightly bigger screens than the DS Lite model but its biggest con is that it cannot play Game Boy Advance games. This is especially a problem if you play the Pokemon games and wish to upload Pokemon from your Game Boy Advance cartridges. You can't do that with this system, but you can do that with the DS Lite and regular Nintendo DS. It is a bit thinner than the DS Lite and the color is very nice if you are an adult, it does not look like a kids system because the black is solid and matte color. Also because the finish is matte it does not collect fingerprints like other Nintendo DS models.

My daughter got the nintendo ds for my grandchildren ages 5 and 7. They easily play the game . They can change to different games by thier selves. The camera is awesome. They take pictures and then make them silly. They can draw to. It was thier favorite christmas present hands down.

This Nintendo DSi comes with great features like dual cameras, so that the photo taker can also be the subject of their own pictures; the ability to get online and "surf" for downloadable content; and even the ability to chat with other Nintendo DS users within a certain area.

Even without a game in the console, there is still many things the user can do with this wonderful little device. Whether it's using the internet, taking pictures or playing with sounds, this game packs a lot of bang for your buck.

The DSI is worth every penny. a gigantic video game selection, web browsing, downloading games, and an excellent battery life. The DSI XL is awesome too , but if you don't want to spend alot of money and are ok with no 3d, get the DSi over the 3ds. I would recommend it for everyone.

My son is 6 and for Christmas he got the Nintendo DSi. He loves it!! He likes to take pictures of his sisters, brother, the dog and of course mom and dad. He also likes that he can play some of the games that older kids are playing. It is small enough that his little hands can hold it!

The Nintendo DSi is so much fun! Not only can you play lots of games on it but you can also take pictures with the camera and distort them, change their colors, add little stars or hearts or glasses and pretty much just play around with it. It can store around 400 pictures.

It also has so many other features like sound effects where you can record something then change your voice's speed and tone and you can sound like a chipmunk or a robot or many other different things. We haven't tried all that you can do with that yet.

It will entertain anybody for hours, and its not just for kids. My grandfather even uses the drawing feature and draws little cartoons on it! It's easier when you use the stylus.

I also need to mention that you can link it wirelessly and connect to the internet. I have not done this yet, because we don't allow our son to go online unsupervised (but its nice to know the feature is there)

The only thing I have noticed that is not very good is that the battery doesn't last as long. You might need a car charger for it if you were going to go on a long trip. Other than that, its fine. I have seen that others complain that you can't play Gameboy games on it but we are OK with that because we already beat them all and don't even play them any more. The newer games are more interesting to us anyway, so we really needed this upgrade.

My point is that you can do more with this than you would think. So if you feel the price is high for it, just know that it's worth it and you really don't need to get a game right away because you will have alot of things to do with it anyway. And you can get away with getting even just one game for a while.

Daughter passes time with it when she is waiting for me to pick her up from school. Fun and she loves to take the pictures too

Thanks to Kmart's layaway we were able to put this DSI in layway for our son's birthday. This made it affordable, so that we could get games and accessories for it. Once opened our son has used it for taking pictures, playing games and because it has a share feature with certain games he is able to play with friends. Great product for road trips and aiplane rides, no more "I'm bored when we go out traveling on the road". Cost reasonable and employees were very helpful in explaing what this game could do. This made our decision to buy this verison very easy. Prior to speaking to the Kmart employee we had no idea what all this DSI could do. So we are very happy with the game and the help we got at the store.

Really great toy. My ten year old loves it! He is playing games and enjoying himself. We had a bit of trouble setting up the Wifi, because the instructions were really vauge. Once my teenager explained it to me we were good to go! The games seem to be instant fun and the DSI seems to be holding up really well. I like that my son can simply change tasks and it decreases getting board with it and increases learning opportunity.
Nintendo's DSi turned out pretty good for our family. The DSi offers a camera and sound recorder, and a photo and video editing studio and an animation software. It plays DS games just the same as the regular DS. My only two complaints are that it can't play GBA games, which is nice once in a while, and it uses a different charger than the DS lite.
