Works Great

I had No Problems with this Elliptical,. Anyone who did, didn't assemble it right. You need to rub grease in the the metal joints and make sure all is tight.

Do not buy

Nordic Track sells defective equipment. I am having the same problem with the left pedal. They sent a replacement after fighting with them and this did not resolve the problem. The screw on the left pedal becomes loose 20 minutes into a workout. It fell right off while I was on it. I already had a bad knee and this just jolted it more. I have been sending emails and now they will not even reply. Has anyone else had any luck?

Not worth the money

Had for a little over a year Crank Broke. Warranty had run out don't have the $80.00 for the Crank or the money for the tech to come out! Also was always having to stop and tighten screws or bolts! Not worth the money!

Excellent Product so far

Bought this product yesterday and my hubby and I assembled it in about 2 hours. The instructions are amazingly easy to follow and all parts are clearly labled. I got on and had a great but tough 20 minute workout. Went back this morning and did 40 mins while waiting for my laundry to finish. I am sore all over--in other words it worked me out. Always wanted an elliptical but was not able to afford one. This had a great price and I tried it and a number of others out in the store before buying. I got the extended warranty just in case something goes wrong but hopefully that won't be a problem. I have a Nordic Track treadmill too for the last 4 yrs and no problems with that either. Hope this helps

Defective waste of money!

I have owned this elliptical for around 2yrs now and the crank broke in the exact same place for the THIRD time just last night! While it was under warranty they sent replacement parts and a technician out for free. The guy was nice enough, but he didn't know what he was doing. My friend who works on cars was able to fix the problem in about 20 minutes after the tech had spent 40 minutes hammering on a bolt he couldn't get out and left. But now the warranty is up and I'm screwed cause its busted again.

When it works its a decent elliptical, but not for $600 and not when it consistently breaks once a year. The tech himself told me that he gets called out to fix the cranks on these things pretty regularly once a year. I don't know about you, but I don't expect to dish out that kind of money for this ****. I used it pretty regularly, 3-4 times a week for an hour. If you're lucky you get a 9months-1 year out of it before it craps the bed. If you're smart you'll read these reviews and take your money elsewhere...

Doesn't last no real warranty on junk machine

Stay away. Bought this 2 1/2 years ago for $500. Rarely used it. Cheap metal arm broke on main crank so I can't use it. Called NordicCrap and part is $300. Basically told me I should have bought warranty. What junk they make. It was noisy and bolts were always coming loose.

What a disappointment - Consider buying something else!

I purchased this item in December of 2012 as a gift for my mother. While the device itself seems sturdy, the electronics stopped working less than two weeks after purchase. After several frustrating months, the units which seemed impressive in the beginning still does nit work.

There is a lot to go wrong with this device, and I recommend that you get a pro to assemble and do purchase extended warranty. Would I recommend this model? No.

Great Elliptical

Have had this elliptical for 2 months. Had Sears service provider assemble the machine within 2 hours. Machine runs quiet and smooth. Workout kicks my ****! Has shelf for electronic devise that is hooked into MP3 outlet (you provide cord). Speakers are blocked by electronic devise when on shelf, sound is muffled but you can still hear. 5 stride adjustment levels with manual adjustment. Just click and lift, easy to do. Large pedals. Easy to step on. Has wheels on front and handle on back for moving, but machine is heavy and takes some muscle and 2 to lift and move. Power cord is at front of machine and if plugging in to wall behind the machine, cord runs length of machine, need extension cord. No fan, lots of work out programs built in. Pay a little more and have Sears assemble. Machine is just right for me.

Quiet, Cheaper.

Quiet machine, and cheaper than many of the others, this gets you in shape for less money, the pedals are a bit big for my taste.

If you're going to use it daily, look elsewhere

Only lasted 1-1/2 years. Used daily it was the best workout going, but the unit started to fail, horribly. When a crankshaft sheers, that's a bad sign. ICON no longer backs its product and we're waiting for it to be hauled away as scrap. If you're going to use it daily, get a commercial grade unit and pay the higher price. This is designed and supported by the company for someone who wants to make it a clothes rack after a few months of use.
