Great treadmill

I walk on this treadmill each day for 30 minutes for health/fitness purposes. It is easy to use and works well. It is fairly quiet. I have had it for 4 months and have experienced no problems. I just set the speed and incline and go. I have not used any of the special workouts that are pre-programmed. This treadmill is my first purchase of any type of serious fitness equipment, so I am a novice. I asked for delivery and assembly by Sears. They were about an hour beyond their drop off window when they arrived with the treadmill. My boyfriend and I ended up assembling the treadmill by ourselves the next day, as we were on our way out when it arrived. Assembly was pretty easy, but you do need 2 people. Sears deducted the entire delivery and assembly fee from my bills, so that was great!

My First Nordic Track Product and My Last!

I purchased this Dec 27, 2013. It was a very quiet treadmill for about 3 weeks - and then after that it sounded like a car that had lost its muffler. I called Nordic Track and we did troubleshoot it thinking that that noise was from the belt; however, that wasn't the case. So I called them back approx. 2 weeks ago and they are replacing the motor. I have yet to receive the motor by UPS as it is on back order! Imagine that! I have owned a Proform Treadmill for 16 years and never any problems with it. I thought that I would get a new treadmill as it had a softer surface and quieter. I will go back to Proform products...and I did purchase my Proform at Sears as well. I purchased this T6.1 as a "Deal of the Day".....not so! I walk my treadmill approx. 60 mins per day / 7 days per week. I do alternate between speeds and incline; however, a good motor should withstand this. So very disappointed with this purchase. By the way - customer service at Nordic Track is awesome - afterall they didn't make the product and you know they have to have their work cut out for them especially with these motors being on back order. It's time for Nordic Track to recall these motors and issue a corrective action to the supplier of these motors.

great treadmill

I did a lot of research before purchasing a treadmill and this one was not only a great deal but also a great treadmill. I set it up myself (I'm a woman) only took a couple of hours, had just a bit of trouble with one set of screws that did not seem to want to fit into the holes but with a little lube and an extra burst of strength I managed to get them in. It's a sturdy treadmill and easy to use.

One thing I don't like.

I like the treadmill. Is good for the price. The thing I don't like are the handgrips. They are to wide to hold on to with comfort if you are a women with small hands.

Great treadmill

I am a beginner jogger and living I. The north west you need a treadmill. This one does great. For the price and the workout you get it is worth it. It has all the basic options for incline and other workouts you want to do. It is a little loud but I can still listen to the stereo or watch tv and hear them fine while working out.

Good stuff

Great machine for the price, easy to put together. Wish you could enter your own weight in there for calorie counting purposes since not every person burns the same amount.

Good way to keep moving through a brutal winter

This has been a good winter for hibernating, but it's not the best way to handle it. Therefore, I get on my NordicTrack treadmill after dinner, plunk a DVD in to pass the time, and pick up a couple of two pound weights, and press start. I particularly like the shock-absorbing cushioning for my joints. I am really pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good treadmill.

Easy to use

So far, the T6.1 is pretty good. The pluses: Setting speed and incline is easy and uncomplicated. Downside: Even with wheels and being folded up, it is hard to move around and requires more than one person. I would recommend setting it up where you want it.

Great Treadmill for Price

We haven't used this treadmill much but it was very quick and easy for the deliveries to put it together. It seems to hold up well so far.

good machine for home use

I bought this machine for my mom. I picked it up and assembled it without any problem. This is pretty heavy so you will need to have one or two friends to help lift it into the house. My mom is using it for a while now and I haven't heard anything yet from her. Overall, this is pretty good for the price.

Great Treadmill Great Price

I spent months researching treadmills, when I finally went to the store to buy one I had another model in mind, when I asked the sales representative's opinion he recommended this model and stated why. I trusted his advice and I am very satisfied with this treadmill. The walking path is wider and smooth to use, the speakers for the mp3 player are decent, the options for various levels are good.

Not a Bad Treadmill

Switched from a Proform treadmill to a NordicTrack for the better motor, although the Proform lasted a long time; The NordicTrack starts off alot quieter, but can get a little loud after awhile; It does take a couple hours or so to put together but very easy; It is comfortable and I like the aps; The only reason I did not give it a 5 is because it has a 8" x 3 1/2" display area but only uses 5" x 1 1/2" of it making reading most of the stats not easy;

New Treadmill

Nice deck; Good feel; Statistic box too small, no light, hard to read.
Disappointed in that, otherwise good treadmill.

Meets my needs...

It meets my every expectation. Performs great. Has many different programs etc... that can be set to the workout you want. I plug in my music player, turn up the sound on the built in speakers, and walk, jog, or race to the beat. You could say, it's just plain fun to have time to myself and exercise in the privacy of my home. My husband got it for my birthday and I love it!

Great Investment

I wasn't too sure about this product, but my husband was, and I'm so glad we decided to buy it. First of all, the price was very reasonable, then when my husband put it together, it didn't take as much time as we thought. My husband tried it that first night after he assembled it, and he loved it. I was still kind of skeptical, but decided to try it the next morning. I had my older treadmill for about 10 years, so you know now why I was feeling like this. But, the next day, as I started walking on it, it felt so easy and like, I was just flowing. I was just going to walk, but I felt so good, I decided to try running. It felt so smooth and the comfort of the padding and ease of the dials made me even so further. I am so glad we decided to buy this treadmill and I've told all my friends about it!!

Good Purchase

Overall we're happy with the purchase. The assembly went smoothly although I do see room for some improvements in the directions. The treadmill operates smoothly, a little loud maybe. We're having some problems with the speed buttons operating consistently, they work on and off at times, seems like maybe a faulty connection. Recommended.

effective and reasonably priced

Was looking for a treadmill that was of good quality and resonably priced. This treadmill has met our expectations, in both areas, and even though we've only has it a few months, we hope to get many years of use..
