Really like my Nordic Track. It allows me to get my exercise even if I do it in bits and pieces. I have bursitis in my right hip and have plantars faciitis in my right foot. Sometimes I can only walk in 15 minutes spurts so I do it several times a day in order to get my exercise. It is very easy to use.
motor made loud noise after only 2 weeks use at walking speed, motors on back order so must be junk .
I initially rated this at 4 when I purchased it in Feb 2014, and I really enjoyed working out on this treadmill. However, since that time parts failed on the treadmill three separate times which luckily occurred during the one year manufacturers warranty. Two of these times the motor went out, and both times when I contacted customer service the part was out of stock and didn't get to me until almost a month later. Most recently the buttons on the console/display stopped working, and once again the replacement part was out of stock and back ordered with almost a month wait time. When the treadmill works I am content with it, but in the span of almost a year it has broke 3 times and been out of service for 3 months. The dependability of this particular treadmill is very much in question so I would advise steering clear unless you plan on purchasing an extended warranty. Even so NordicTrack's customer service leaves a lot to be desired since they never have spare parts to fix problems.
This treadmill was fairly easy for my dad and I to set up (for the most part). It only took a couple of hours, though about 30 minutes of that was spent very carefully drilling a few of the holes bigger, because the screws simply would not fit. I've been using this treadmill for about 5-6 months now, and it has held up quite well. Adjusting speed, incline, etc. is quick and easy. For the price, this is an excellent treadmill.
Bought this treadmill after having a horizon treadmill, I had that one for 10 years with no problems and one day it quit. So off to purchase a new one, I was skeptical and my husband didn't want me paying a huge amount of money. I got this one on sale for $475. Brought it home and it was fairly easy to set up. The next morning I got up at 4:30 to do my walking and discovered there is no back light on the screen, this is a huge problem when you are walking in the dark !! My other problem is there is no fan on the treadmill. I guess I didn't realize how nice a fan was on a tread mill. I am 5' 11 and I usually walk at a 4 % incline and work my way up and walk at 4.5 miles an hour, I need to hang on when my incline goes up, and I have to hunch over to hold on, not very comfortable. It's kind heavy to put up also, my horizon had a hydronic lift which was super easy to put up and take down. And the the last thing was my toes hit the front portion of the plastic where it says the brand name when I am walking, all in all I am bringing this one back, now I just don't know what kind to get.
I bought this treadmill on 9/27/14 two days later it is making a loud noise and the roller is making a noise. My husband was on the phone for over an hour before they finally agreed to a service call. They mailed the wrong part. Service lady came on 10/13 after five messages said she would order parts. Finally called left another message and received e mail that one of the items was ordered on 10/23/14 so who knows when and if this will ever be fixed. I would never buy anything from a store that does not let you bring something back to the store doesn't work.
I read good and bad about this treadmill and was hoping I wouldn't end up with on of the bad ones. After about a week the treadmill started to make and awful rumbling sound and sure enough the motor had gone. It was replaced and all seemed fine until I went to use it and the touch screen doesn't work at all. None of the control buttons work. I usually run from 2-5 miles 5 days a week. I am 105 pounds so the fact that this machine failed in a week proves it's not a well built machine, it's junk.
