Great Buy

Really like my Nordic Track. It allows me to get my exercise even if I do it in bits and pieces. I have bursitis in my right hip and have plantars faciitis in my right foot. Sometimes I can only walk in 15 minutes spurts so I do it several times a day in order to get my exercise. It is very easy to use.

Not perfect for someone's that's tall

Bought this treadmill after having a horizon treadmill, I had that one for 10 years with no problems and one day it quit. So off to purchase a new one, I was skeptical and my husband didn't want me paying a huge amount of money. I got this one on sale for $475. Brought it home and it was fairly easy to set up. The next morning I got up at 4:30 to do my walking and discovered there is no back light on the screen, this is a huge problem when you are walking in the dark !! My other problem is there is no fan on the treadmill. I guess I didn't realize how nice a fan was on a tread mill. I am 5' 11 and I usually walk at a 4 % incline and work my way up and walk at 4.5 miles an hour, I need to hang on when my incline goes up, and I have to hunch over to hold on, not very comfortable. It's kind heavy to put up also, my horizon had a hydronic lift which was super easy to put up and take down. And the the last thing was my toes hit the front portion of the plastic where it says the brand name when I am walking, all in all I am bringing this one back, now I just don't know what kind to get.

Treadmill

|

I bought this treadmill on 9/27/14 two days later it is making a loud noise and the roller is making a noise. My husband was on the phone for over an hour before they finally agreed to a service call. They mailed the wrong part. Service lady came on 10/13 after five messages said she would order parts. Finally called left another message and received e mail that one of the items was ordered on 10/23/14 so who knows when and if this will ever be fixed. I would never buy anything from a store that does not let you bring something back to the store doesn't work.

Junk! Bad Motor and Touch Screen

|

I read good and bad about this treadmill and was hoping I wouldn't end up with on of the bad ones. After about a week the treadmill started to make and awful rumbling sound and sure enough the motor had gone. It was replaced and all seemed fine until I went to use it and the touch screen doesn't work at all. None of the control buttons work. I usually run from 2-5 miles 5 days a week. I am 105 pounds so the fact that this machine failed in a week proves it's not a well built machine, it's junk.

Bad motor after one week of use

|

Very disappointed. I bought this treadmill online and picked it up on June 20, 2014. It is now June 29, 2014 and already the motor has gone bad. At first it worked perfectly. I was walking 3mph for an hour for three days in a row. On the forth day I started to jog a bit at 5mph. After a few minutes of jogging on the treadmill, I noticed a louder motor sound. It wasn't that bad so I just ignored it and kept using the treadmill. Today when I started to walk on the treadmill (6th time using it) it's making a really loud noise. Like a car that has a bad muffler. It's really loud! I went online to research this and I'm not the only one. A lot of other people have had the same problem and once they contacted NordicTrack, they were informed the motor is on back order (the latest post about this was about a few months ago). I haven't called yet because it's a Sunday but I hope this doesn't happen to me, if not I will be demanding a refund from Sears if this cannot be fixed in a timely manner and stay far far away from NordicTrack in the future. I have learned my lesson from buying a cheap treadmill. I should of saved a bit more and bought a better one. Please save yourself from the hassle and do the same, no matter how many 4 and 5 star reviews are on here.

Don't Purchase This Model

|

Purchased the 6.1 treadmill and assembled it yesterday. To our surprise, when we got on the machine we could not read the display panel. Could not tell our speed, distance, etc. We were sure there was a light burned out or a defect. Called NordicTrack and they stated that the 6.1 to 6.9 models do not have lit displays. Have you ever heard of such a thing? We have an overhead light not 4 feet from where the treadmill sits and still cannot read the display. The representative explained that in the Sears store the lighting in that area are extremely bright and that is why we didn't notice this during the demo. BUYER BEWARE -- YOU WON'T BE HAPPY with this model. Wish someone would have told us this prior to purchasing. Our old ProForm that we used to use was far superior in this regard.

excellent treadmill

|

we looked at treadmills for a few weeks and finally settled on this one. i have been using it for a few months now and it has been working great. adjusting the speed and incline is easy. it's easy to use and seems durable. the set up was easy. it is reasonably quiet for a treadmill.

It is simple to use and does the job

|

I have had this treadmill for 5 months and use it 3-4 times a week. It is simple and user friendly. I can select what I want without having a computer tell me what I need for exercise. So far no problems with the treadmill. I read the motor can prematurely fail, but no evidence of that after 5 months of use. It just started to get a little squeaky, but nothing a little lubrication can't fix Great value in my opinion.
