I am so glad that I bought this treadmill. Nothing beats a Nordic Track. It works as well as any gym machine. THe only drawback is the metal insert that has to be used each time for access. Worth the price. It isn't too loud. and keeps good time. The heart rate is just okay as your hands have to be completely sweat free to get a reading-- otherwise, it is a great product. Definitely recommend if you do not need a TV screen on your treadmill!
Ive been running on treadmills all of my life. Usually on ProForms, but I decided to go with the "higher end" brand, NordicTrack. BIg mistake. From the first day that the treadmill was delivered, I noticed that the belt was extremely off centered and crooked. I did the allen wrench trick in the back a few times (that is supposed to straighten the belt.) That however, did not work, because it is misaligned from the top portion. The second issue was discovered upon my first run on the treadmill. The motor has a mind of its own, and no, I was not in any programs. Everytime I run, I do the manual speed. Eventually during my workout, it increases SUDDENLY on its own, and I cant keep up. It is horrible. Ive contacted NordicTrack, and hopefully they can help me. Poor quality, and malfunctioning.
This treadmill is a piece of junk! Squeaks, squeals, and is unstable. Within 4 months of usage the motor went bad. Call customer service and waited 30 minutes for them to tell me that I needed a new motor which they don't have in stock. So I waited 3 weeks for a motor that I had to install myself. Ok, so new motor goes bad in 2 months. I call customer service and wait 40 minutes this time to hear the same thing. Apparently, they are having trouble with this motor. So I am waiting another month for the new motor. In the mean time I have been forced to join a gym (more$$$). I wish I had my Proform treadmill back. Anyway, buyer beware. This treadmill is junk.
It was an Ok treadmill for 45 days. It was kind off loud, but I guess they all are. However, the motor started sounding funny after 45 days of sporadic usage. Returned it to Sears. After reading similar reviews, I will have to look for a different product.
I bought this for walking and running but didn't realize you needed an engine that is bigger than 3.0. So it died and it was replaced and died again within 10 months. I have to say, Sears has been phenomenal. They again replaced it but with some advice this time and told me that the T6.3 was not a good fit and that I should have bought something bigger, a motor that is 3.0 or higher. So today, they exchanged the T6.3 with the Elite 3700. I had to pay $1000 more and hopefully this should last.
Bought this for my wife less that 2 month ago. Already broken. Bolt that holds the motor and deck up snapped in two! Haven't even registered the treadmill yet. Will call to get fixed. Let's see how good the service is... then I will give it more stars. It is loud, but comfortable to run on. Display works fine and motor is plenty big. If I have to pay for a service call, this thing is going back to Sears and I will go back to buying used Proforms on Craigslist for $150.00 and that last for 3 years before breaking down. oh..it does look cool in the workout room.
Contacted Nordic Track and to save the $$$ on a service call which they were going to charge me on a two month old treadmill, they sent me the replacement parts plus two spare parts for free. It took less than 5 days. I was able to replace the broken bolt and the treadmill is up and running.
4th month of having this treadmill and now there is a loud sqeak every step on the deck while running. Eak eak eak eak..
I have had this machine for over a month and have used it 21 of those days. I read all the reviews here and have mostly the same overall feelings on this treadmill. The strengths are quietness, easy buttons to change speed and incline, strong motor, being able change display, like the ipod compatibility and the on-board workouts are good.
The weakness. The sound would be nicer if it had a little more volume. It really depends on the recording volume that is on your ipod, you do need light to see display there is no back lighting. Besides those petty things the only thing that I really do not like is it shuts down after 100 minutes of continuous use. You lose all your stats when that happens.
It was easy to put together and they say you need to use 2 people to put together. I did it all myself with ease. The reason they say you need 2 people is for putting on the computer/display. I can understand that they want one person to hold the display while another fastens it but I did it with no problems. It took about 2 hours for me to put together. If I could have given it a 4 1/2 stars I would have but I think it is better than 4 stars but not perfect as a 5 would be.
Easy to use, quiet, tracks well, like the ability to attach my Ipod and play thru speakers, sturdy yet comfortable track, heavy duty for home use, good latch, programs, feedback, etc. very happy with this unit for the price!

Very good machine for the money.
quiet, screen needs to light up- cannt see it when lights are dim
Great treadmill. Does just what we needed it to do. Only complaint is with the extended warranty. It doesn't go thru sears' "1-800-4-MYHOME"
So they are not quite as flexible as sears themselves are. Overall I am happy with this treadmill.
It is just the right size for my spare room. It works like a champion and is quiet.
This purchase replaced a nortic trac that died after 12 years of nearly daily use. This treadmill is mostly plastic. The handholds are very low and useless to me once I go above a 5% incline. The platform is heavy and there is no lift assist built-in. The platform does not raise to a true vertical position so it takes up more room then my old one.
The treadmill does function well and the motor feels strong. Had to adjust the belt before using, but that was simple to do. Took me about 3 hours to assemble and only needed assistance from my wife for about 2 minutes.
It's easy to assemble for two people. Took us just about an hour. It works as expected. The display is easy to read. Put it in the cellar on the cement floor, so we didn't need the rubber mat that the salesperson told us we should have.
Installation very nicely done. Dependable and easy to use equipment. Appropriate flexible options for many programs.
Easy to assemble. Great display. I like that there are different levels to chose from.
I love it! It has a lot of options for everyone, from a beginner to a more advanced walker/runner. The programming is easy to figure out. It has a lot of room to move on.
