Survived High Winds

We purchased this tent to take to a spring break trip to Fort Pickens in Pensacola. The weather was unseasonably cold and windy. We put sheets over the net top under the rain fly and secured them with clothes pins to add additional warmth. We used long stakes because of the sandy soil. The wind blew terribly hard and the tent stayed up. As far as space goes, we knew we had two queen mattresses so we were not surprised by the floor space left after they were inflated. We took the tent back to the beach on the Fourth and was rained on terribly. We had a concern about how well the rain fly would keep out the rain out in a windy situation. It worked fairly well. Our only mistake was not using seam seal on the dark seam two feet from the bottom. My advice: seam seal everything, use long stakes. The weakness in the tent are the zippers to the doors. The zipper will get stuck if you are not careful to zip slowly. We have a family of two adults, two teenagers and two children. Nice space and closets are nice too.

Do Not Buy

I have four children all under 10 and so having a family of 6 I thought this would be the perfect tent. It was large and looked like a house, and that appealed to my children. We bought it and put it up in our backyard the very night we purchased it. We had winds the next day about 17mph and that was enough to snap 2 of the poles. POOR quality... I spent 200 to not get to use it but 1 time in my own back yard. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!

Great deal for an emergency item.

This was purchased for an emergency backyard shelter and for fun; price was fantastic.

mouse nest in unopened package

I bought this one week before leaving for our annual trip to RI. When we got there, we opened up the case the tent was in and found stuffing, mop head pieces and other nesting material as well as a chewed up net that was to be a shelving unit for the inside. Based on being 4+ hours from home; we continued to set up the tent.. The tent itself seemed to be fine. As the week progressed we got rain. The tent did not fair well. I had puddles and flooding coming in from the "closet" areas. I'm guessing this tent is a good idea if there is no rain in the forecast.

Great looking tent. Closet space not waterproof

Tent looks awesome. So far I have a week camping trip in with it and the only complaint I have is that the closet/cubby areas do leak. It stormed most of the time we were camping and the rest of the tent stood up well in the rain and wind but the closet areas got soaked...maybe try waterproof and seam seal. The zippers do get stuck easily and my fingers were soar by the end of the week from dealing with them. All in all I am satisfied so far though, it is just a tent after all and it works for our family of 5 :) I would recommend...just keep in mind you may have to tarp or figure out a waterproof solution for the closet spaces.

Not Weather Proof

On the corners of the tent near the door is a big gap of space and that is a net and during the two nights we camped it was a freezing cold even with the sleeping bag. Don't waist your money on this just because it has extra stuff like closets. Think wisely about the tents and make sure their comfortable.

amazing camping tent

I bought this tent to go camping with my daughter and her family. It has two large rooms that are seperated by a room devider and two large storage cubbies for camping gear, etc. My grandchildren loved the tent experience. It was fairly easy to put up but was fast with more then one person. Lol love the look, the ease of use and durability.

Big Sky Lodge Tent

Set-up was fairly easy, convenience of two entrances and divider to create two separate rooms, and the extra storage compartments are very appealing to this tent. Would prefer if the inside area was a little bigger and would be great if it came equipped with an overheard light. Overall, our family loves this tent.

Kids love it

We've camped out in our tent every weekend since brining it home in June. We've really enjoy it. Granted, it's no camper with hard floors and a built in kitchen and bathroom....it's a tent. Plenty of room for 2 queen size air beds (I'm getting too old to sleep on the cold ground), a couple of sleeping bags and a small table for the kids to set up a dvd player for the night and we're good to go. When the kids wear this one out, I'll definitely buy another! Love, love, love it.

Not happy

The tent is fine for maybe 5 people only using sleeping bags.. the camp grounds we're staying at has gravel under the tent.. Sleeping bags are not an option so air mattresses used.. No room for anything else and we only have 3 air mattresses.. The best part is the storage closets.. They are roomy..
There is no room to walk about inside tent.. Plus the zippers came apart so we could not fully open he doors..
Returning it ASAP..
