Onkyo Home Theater systems provide a great value while still providing excellent quality and the best part in my opinion it's up-gradable.I currently own the HT-S7409 system which is a little upgrade in speakers and with the receiver. I did audition this particular setup and it was fantastic. I just wanted the extra options of the upgraded receiver.

This surround sound system was more than I could ever hoped for. I hear things on movies that I have never heard before. The sound is so clear. If you are looking for a system with great sound and bass then this is the one for you. I can't imagine watching tv without surround sound now.
Great product! Outstanding sound and quality!
I am actually a Sears electronics associate who was pleasantly surprised with how large this box was when I had to set it up on one of our displays, and when I was assuming it was 70% styrofoam, I was definitely wrong! This thing is huge, and I (being a car audio enthusiast) was extremely excited to put this thing together. It puts out a huge amount of sound, with an adjustable subwoofer, which you don't find on many sets. It was very easy to get everything working once I finished installing it, I ended up just using a fiber optic cable, then you just select the 'tv/sat' setting, and you're good to go.
A few words of caution. This home theater system is not user friendly like it is on the samsung/panasonic/sony brands. It isn't really a 'plug and go' kind of thing, you have to manually hardwire each speaker into the back of the reciever, and it takes a bit of time. The back of the reciever will look extremely intimidating if you aren't familiar with what you're looking at. I'm not saying it's impossible, and I found it somewhat simple to do because I am experienced with doing these sort of things, but if you are not electronics savvy then I would highly advise either paying for the sears installation, or getting a friend who is familiar with this sort of thing to do it for you.
This is a great product and I was very impressed with this notorious brand now being sold at Sears stores, and it's very visually appealing just as much as how good it sounds. If you're looking for something high quality that is going to last you, and you have the money to spend, it's well worth it!
Love It! Only Negative, So Far, Supplied Speaker Wires Should Be Longer!!!
