I have owned a P42X1(the predecessor to the X3) for about four years and it's still perfect after major use. (It doubles as an extra computer monitor through the HDMI port :) When I had a chance to pick up the X3 at this great price, and knowing the performance of the X1, I jumped on it. When it comes to Plasma TV...Panasonic is one of the best! Even at 720P, the picture is outsatnding. Rich colors, very good blacks, no smearing issues with the 600Hz sub-field drive (It does need a little tweaking to your personal liking, but all HDTV sets do :) The sound is decent, and the set does have optical for a home theater sound system. The USB ports allow you to play movie files (avi, mpeg, mvk) through a thumb drive which is great. Another plus of the X3 is the internet capability...the X1 didn't have that or the movie player...All you do is just plug in your ethernet, and after a quick setup, you will be on Netflix, Pandora, and several other sites in minutes. Bottom line....If your looking for a dependable, great performing, well priced HDTV....this is the one you want.
I've had this TV for over a year now. It has been a flawless performer and since it is a plasma, it looks good from any viewing angle. It does generate a fair amount of heat however. it's brightness is very good and colors are brilliant. It's only shortcoming is that it only has 2 HDMI inputs. These days that's just not enough. Sound is very good. It does have a SD card slot for viewing photo's. It's a great TV for the price. Just be aware that it only has 2 HDMI inputs.
I recently bought the Panasonic Viera TC P42X3 and am thrilled with it! The picture is beautiful, it was extremely easy to setup, it is feature rich with many options available. I haven't been able to try them all out yet, but plan to connect it to my wireless network as soon as I replace my old router. I am excited to see all the other things that this TV is capable of in action! This is most definitely more than worth the price, and I would and have recommended it to others. I also intend to purchase this model in a bigger size for our living room. You won't be disappointed in this TV!
The picture on the TV is fantastic. The 600 hz refresh rate is ideal for gaming and watching sports. My only con is the # of inputs. I have already used every input so I have no room for adding additional toys down the road.

I bought a 50" Panasonic from Sears maybe 5 years ago and loved the picture quality and overall performance so i decided not to change brands. Also this was on sale at the time i wanted to get rid of my old tv.

I been looking and wanting a big TV for awhile,I got on Sears Web and found this one

on there,The Quality of the Picture and Sound is AMAZING .....The set up and hook up

is very easy only took me a half-hour..I WAS AMAZED when i turned it on....

Exelient TV for your money..........Hurry there going fast !!!!!!!!!!!

BOUGHT THIS PLASMA A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO FOR 449.99 WHEN IT WAS ON SALE ONLINE. I HAD IT SHIPPED FREE TO THE STORE. 2 WEEKS AFTER OWNING THE TV THE PRICE DROPPED BY ANOTHER 20 DOLLARS. I WAS ABLE TO TALK TO A SEARS REPRESENTATIVE ONLINE AND THEY WERE ABLE TO REFUND ME THE DIFFERENCE. I THOUGHT THAT WAS REALLY COOL ON THEIR PART. AS FOR THE TV, WHAT CAN I SAY, THE PICTURE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT, I HAVE ANOTHER PLASMA THAT IS 1080P AND I SEE NO DIFFERENCE WITH MY PANASONIC 720P. I ALSO LOVE THE WIFI FEATURE SINCE I AM A SUBSCRIBER TO NETFLIX, NOW AT THE TOUCH OF A BOTTON I CAN STREAM MOVIES THAT EASILY. I WOULD DEFINITLY RECOMMEND THIS TV FOR THE PRICE.

Purchased several weeks ago and have nothing but praise for this TV. Easily sets up, hookups to systems very simple and easy to do. On screen menu's easy to understand and navigate. And the picture quality is fantastic. Only negative is the sound. However, as soon as the Panasonic soundbar system goes on sale, I will add it to this unit. At $499, it was an excellent value.

I like how bright my panasonic screen is. I also like the bold colors on the screen,

Product is well built and is easy to set up and start using. The picture quality is extremely good, and very clear. We did not have any problem hookin up any of the additional DVD player and WII and were able to use it within a matter of an hour of bringing it home.

I shopped many stores and many brands before making my purchase. This set is perfect for an average sized living room. The ease of set up and connecting is simple and easily diagramed in the user manual. I needed to hook up 4 devices to this set and was able to do so in 10 to 15 minutes.

The picture quality and sound is excellent in this set. I have added my home theatre to this set and the sound is equivilent to be at the Movie Theatre. Also this set up was very easy and was mapped out in the User guide.

Along with having Directv I also have a Tv antenna on the house and this hook up was simple. The programming of the digital tuner took less that 3 minutes. Also the instructions in the user manual were again very simple.

My neighbor and my mom are considering this model for replacing there old picture tube because of the outstanding picture quality and ease of operation of the set.

I would highly recommend this set for it outstanding picture and ease of set up.

Also if you are on Southside the Colonial Heights store has excellent sales staff to assist you in your purchase.

Beautiful picture! Viera apps built in. Viera link to other panasonic devices. What more can you ask for? Make sure you have HDMI cables, though.

I'm the last person I know to finally give in and buy a flat screen lol. I've had this for close to a month and can't even imagine going back to my old television. I was really worried about the sound since so much of what I read talked about bad sound quality with the flat screens but this had better sound then my old television. I love that you can change the "look" of the picture with cinema,or gaming or bright light viewing and of course the picture itself is beautiful. Simple to put together, set up and navigate. I would recomend this to everyone. I love love love my Panasonic plasma. My best buy in a long time!!!

I bought this television with part of my tax return this year and still had lots of money left over to buy clothing! This is an extraordinary value! It was even cheaper than the one I had my eye on at walmart!!! My kids love this TV for watching movies during family movie night. And it really makes their video gaming experience awesome! I couldn't be happier with this purchase!! Thanks Sears!!

Love this tv! Great price and awesome picture. Fits great over my electric fireplace mantle and can be see from all angles of the room. I have had this tv for 3 months now and everything is great!
