Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the washer. If the top portion of the agitator does not catch when turned counter clockwise, the dogs are worn. The dogs allow the top portion of the agitator to ratchet and pull the clothes into the water. The part number for the dogs is 80040 and can be ordered from our parts website:

Sears Parts Direct

.

To replace the dogs please follow these steps.

Remove the fabric softener dispenser from the top of the agitator.

Remove the agitator cover by pulling it up. You might need to use a small screwdriver to pry the cover up.

You should see a plastic piece that has a square hole in the center. You need to insert a 1/2 inch drive extension into the hole. Then turn it counter clockwise to remove this retainer.

Remove the cam out of the top portion of the agitator and replace the dogs.

Reassemble the washer in the reverse order and test the operation.

I have also found a video that shows how to replace the dogs. click

here

to watch the video.

I have provided you with an image below to aid in replacing the dogs. Your model is slightly different from the image but the dogs sit in the cam the same.

Please reply below if you need further assistance.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:

Denise,
Usually just replacing the dogs will cure the problem. If the kit is not much more than the cost of the dogs, go ahead and order the kit. If you get the kit, you only have to clean the agitator instead of the agitator and all the cam parts. The parts for the washer can be ordered from the following link.

Are mushrooms poisonous to dogs?

Many mushrooms are extremely toxic to dogs. They can cause severe liver damage and can lead to liver failure. If you believe your dog got into mushrooms, you should bring her into the veterinarian immediately.

my dog gets hiccups...when she does, I usually try and scare them out of her. It usually works. But then I feel bad for scaring her, so I give her a treat :)
