Why is my Kenmore washer not spinning correctly?

I have a Kenmore washer model number 110.22912100. After the load completes the cycle the clothes are very wet & heavy. The tub is empty of water but you can easily squeeze water out of the clothes. I need to know what could be causing this problem with my washer.

It sounds like the clutch is weak & slipping. This usually happens from overloading the machine. Be sure to load the washer only up to the 1st row of holes in the spin basket. Do not use a slow gentle cycle for heavy loads. Match the fabric type to prevent out of balance loads. This would cause an uneven spin out & would not spin up to speed, causing the clothes not to spin dry. Be sure the drain hose is not air tight in the standpipe. This would cause a poor pump out & slower spin speeds. I would recommend calling a service company to diagnose the problem.
