Manage My Life

I have discoloring of surface burner heads on my newly purchased stove. What can I do?

It is a Kenmore range by Sears Item #02271393000,
Manufacturing Model 71393.

Some of the burner heads are starting to burn brown. One burner has a large brown stain on it. I have tried a mild cleaner to no avail. Other members of my family have burner heads on their range and claim they have never had this problem. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. Thank you.

I am sending you the image of the page in the owners manual on cleaning the burner caps.

You can mix water and ammonia 50% each and soak the burner caps for 30-45 minutes to soften cooked on stains on the burner caps. The sooner you clean the burner caps after a boil over the easier they are to clean.
