Why is the glass turntable making a grinding noise on my Kenmore microwave?

I have a Kenmore microwave model number 721.67909600 that is less than 2 years old. When the glass turntable is rotating I can hear a grinding noise like something is rubbing. I looked & did not see anything that would be causing this noise. Noise does not occur if the turntable is removed.

It sounds like the turntable motor is failing. If nothing is touching the glass plate or the motor shaft I would recommend replacing the turntable motor.
