Why won't my Kenmore 800 washer fill up with water?

I have a Kenmore Model 800 washer. It will not fill up with water. It is 2 weeks old and worked fine yesterday. The screen not blocked. It doesn't register that there are clothes in it to start the auto fill (auto sensor?).

I am having the same problem. My model # is 110.29822801. Is there Whirlpool part which is readily available in my area?

Kenmore 800 modle# 11029822800 wont fill with water but will spin. The problem is most likley the load/fill sensor switch $75.00 and not the inlet water valve $30.00. Sears does not keep any parts in stock so you have to mail order them. However since Kenmore and the load/fill switch part # W10177795 are made by Whirlpool and I called and got the whirlpool part # W10292584 for the load/fill sensor/switch it was in stock form Servall Appliance Parts with a life time warranty for $75.00 214-352-7582 for Dallas office. great video on Youtube on how to open the top load Kenmore washer. watch it and it will save you time. Also I disconnected the lid switch and used a coat hanger to make a jumper then wraped it with electrial tape. my wife hated that when she opended the lid it would stop filling with water!

The washer should initially fill to a level 8 holes up from the bottom of the basket even if it is empty. If the washer is not filling at all, then you could have a failed load sense control. You could also have a number of other failures that could cause this problem.

With the fill hoses disconnected from the back of the washer, place the ends of the hoses in a bucket and turn on the supply faucets briefly to check for proper pressure and flow from the water fill hoses. If the water supply is okay, then I recommend calling Sears for warranty service at 1-800-4MY-HOME (1-800-469-4663).

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
