How do I remove the lint chute assembly on Kenmore dryer?

I have a Kenmore dryer model 110.86880100. The item, what ever it is, is blocking the lint trap from going completely into chute. (Could be a pen/pencil in the track on the side of chute assembly).
I've already removed back and can only reach a short way into chute assembly.
I want to remove it completely, but the chute is curved and the back pieces of the dryer box and lid prevent assembly from being removed completely. How do I do it?
Image #1: the chute is movable, but can not be removed due to back of dryer box.
Image #2: the back of the dryer box blocks removal.
Image #3: although I can not see anything, it feels like something is in left side track.

The lint duct must be pulled up and out from the top. The lint filter must be pulled out in order to access the two screws under the lint filter handle. Remove the two screws; locate the two clips holding the top down. Depress the clip while lifting up on the corner of the top. Hinge the top open. Remove the screws securing the rear bulkhead to the frame in order to pull it forward enough to make room for the lint chute to be pulled up and out.
