Without a model number and additional details, it is difficult to predict the failure that is preventing your dryer from working properly. If it is an electric dryer that is running but not heating, then I recommend checking the breakers. An electric dryer will run if only one of the 120 volt legs of 240 volt power is supplied to the dryer. If the second leg of 120 volt power is missing, then the dryer will not heat and will not dry the clothes properly.
If you have a gas dryer, check the gas supply to make sure that the gas cutoff valve is fully open.
If these general tips don't help, resubmit your question with additional details and the full model number of your Whirlpool dryer for more help with this problem.
