I have a Kenmore range model 79097453 with a ceramic glass cook top. I want to know what is the weight capacity to boil water on it for the top to withstand the weight and not cause the break to the glass top.

There does not seem to be a weight limit for your cook top. Some general guidelines are in the image below.

There is a limit on how wide the cooking utensil can be. It is not recommend to exceed the diameter of the element by more than 1 inch.

The weight should not be a concern but sliding a heavy metal pan or dropping one onto the cook top is not recommended at all.
