what is the best way to get a good seam when install commercial glue down carpet?

I am installing commercial grade carpet on a cement floor. The rolls are 12' wide. I need to know the best procedure for getting a good tight seam that looks good between rolls or runs. And, should the seams run with the traffic pattern or across it for best results.

the carpet will be glued down.
