How can I remove something that fell inside the lint screen opening?

It's a Kenmore dryer.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your description the chapstick slid all the way down into the blower wheel housing and the blower wheel is rubbing the chapstick. In order to access and remove the chapstick will require removing lint chute.

NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing your dryer.

I added a YouTube video showing how to remove the

lint duct

. You should be able to access the chapstick by removing the lint filter, the screws hidden under the lint filter, the rear panel and lint duct. The video covers how to replace the blower wheel but you shouldn't need to remove it or the front panel. View the video and it will show how to remove the lint chute.
