How do I remove the auger from my snow thrower?

I have a Craftsman Snow Thrower model 247.88957. The auger was bent by large piece of concrete and now hits the center drive shaft.

Follow the steps below to remove the augers on you r snow thrower. I am also including some images to help you (see images below).

Remove the belt cover.

Remove the chute control.

Remove the auger control cable.

Remove the 4 bolts that attach to thrower head to the drive (2 on each side). You will need help the drive will want to fall backwards.

Remove the drive pulley on the thrower head.

Remove the bolts the bolts that hold the flange bearing in. These are on the end of the auger shafts.

The whole auger and impeller assembly should now slide out.

Remove the shear pins and the augers should slide off of the shafts.

When the parts are replaced reassemble in the reverse order.
