How can I tell if I blew a fuse in my circuit breaker?

I plugged a power light in on my deck outside. It tripped the breaker and now the power will not come back on outside. I have deck lights and a pool pump hardwired. Is there a fuse in my Cutler Hammer circuit breaker?

Sometimes the circuit breaker gets stuck in the "Trip" position. You need to turn the breaker "Off" and then back "On". This will assure you that the breaker is reset to the "On" position.

The other possibility is that the GFCI outlet you plugged into is tripped. Reset the GFCI and check your outlet again. If you did not plug into a GFCI there may be a GFCI downstream that is protecting the outlet you plugged into. You will need to locate this GFCI and reset it. One GFCI can protect multiple outlets.
