my grill will not ignite. no sparking noise when i depress the starter knob.

kenmore gas grill. model 415. 16123801. my grill will not ignite. no sparking noise occcurs when i depress the starter knob. Could being out of gs be the cause?

I appears that this grill uses a double A battery to power the igniter. Your symptoms point to a dead battery. I recommend checking that issue first. The battery should be in the electronic ignition module (Key 25 on the parts diagram in your owner's manual). Here is a link for your owner's manual in case you need it:

If you replace the battery and the ignitors still won't work, you may need to replace the ignition module. You can order parts from the

when looking at the parts list, it is difficult to observe the specific part. in the parts list many parts images are not available. makes it difficult to determine if i am selecting the right part.
