how to reset he2 kenmore dryer

I have a kenmore frontload he2 dryer. The start button is indented and I cant push it to start it. Says empty lint?

The empty lint is a default and is a reminder to do so and doesn't indicate any particular fault.

From the description you give I suspect the console will have to be replaced.

I can provide you with instructions to remove the console and do-it-yourself but a model number would help me be more specific in helping you.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website:

I found this in the owner's manual for your dryer, I hope it helps:


To pause/stop the dryer at any time
Open the door or press STOP once.
To restart the dryer
Close the door. Press and hold START until dryer starts.
To end/cancel your dryer at any time
Press STOP twice or open the door.
NOTE: Drying will continue from where the cycle was interrupted
if you close the door and press Start within 5 minutes. If the cycle
is interrupted for more than 5 minutes, the dryer will shut off.
Select new cycle settings before restarting the dryer.
