How do I detach sears stackable dryer from sears washer - I bought it used & came with no instructions.

I need to detach my stackable sears dryer model # 417.82142101 from washer model #417.42142100 washer. I bought it used and it came with no instructions. Thank you!

Thank you for your question.

I understand that wanting to separate the dryer from the washer without instructions can be a puzzle.

It is really quite easy.

On the very bottom of the dryer there are two plastic plugs that cover the screw heads that is the front mount for the stacking kit.

Remove the plugs and unscrew those screws.

Also on the back of the washer there will be a bracket that attaches to both the washer and dryer, remove this bracket.

Make sure you have two people to remove the dryer off the washer for safety reasons.

My question is did you also get the top of the washer,because the top of the washer components will be exposed with the dryer off. There should have been a top to put back on the top of the washer that will match the dyer top.
