Kenmore Logi-Clean electric range model 92022101. I ran a self clean and the oven got extremely hot and stayed on for 4 hours and 10 minutes. I know that is within the allowed time, but in my opinion, the oven was not that dirty. The surrounding cabinets and things were very, very hot. We kept checking to make sure there was no fire. The door now remains locked and the display reads El F5. The top of the oven door was all white and is now a little off-white like it has been burned. I have had the stove for approximately 6 or 7 years and from the time I got it, the oven has always run hot. We have to turn it 10 or 15 degrees lower than a recipe calls for and remove the food alot earlier than the time limit. I want to know if this is an expensive repair or if I should just bite the dust and purchase a new stove!

I can understand your concern upon the code that is reading on your range, also the lock mechanism. I was able to find what the code means, an expert answered a similar question. I hope what he provides is sufficient to let you know what the next step would be.
