Why does my excercise bike get harder to pedal after about two minutes of use when I have not adjusted the pressure knob?

The bike is a Pro-Form Rebel recumbant bike & elliptical crosstrainer. I have replaced the bearing in the wheel a couple of times but it does not seem to be the problem. It works easy on the elliptical and also pedals easily if pedaled backwards.

The tension cable may need to be adjusted down on the bottom end. I will need the model number from your machine to see exactly what set up you have. There are a few variations of how the tension works.

If you can get the model number and post it back here on this thread I will look it up and see what it looks like. I'm pretty sure we're just going to be looking at an adjustment on the tension cable though.
