treadmill slows down on its own and speeds up

i have proform 760 ekg ser p20140286 -it does as i stated above all by itself---i need help as to determine the problem please--could you give me an idea what part would be needed and how much--i really need to use it and it interupts my exerecing for i have to jump off when it goes real fast by itself...thank you

I have attached the directions to calibrate your treadmill. Put the unit into calibration mode and calibrate the speed and incline. If you are still having the same trouble you may need to lubricate the walking belt. To check that you need to:

Incline the treadmill all the way up

Stand at the front of the walking platform and give yourself a slight shove. You should slide about 75% of the way back when you do this. If you do not, the belt is in need of lubrication. The part number for belt lube is 219168 and can be purchased

If the belt lube seems fine (by the "push" test) then the problem will almost certainly be the controller board. If you arrive at the conclusion that the controller is bad you can order part number 180436

I love to get a good workout and I know how important it is to have a good working treadmill in your home so I will be happy to help.
