Ice Maker Adjustment

I bought model ECKMF94 replacement Ice maker for Kenmore model 50522100 side by side refrirgerator. Will only make one batch of ice then arm goes up and goes to "standby" . Have to manually lower arm for ice maker to make another batch. How can I adjust to keep making more ice until bin is full?

I'm sorry you are having this problem. The information you have received is good but it's for a different type of problem. This type of problem can be an internal problem inside the icemaker housing. One possibility would be to return this icemaker and get the replacement icemaker, this model calls for, which is # 4317943.

Another possibility will be to replace the shut-off arm with an updated arm # 2304354. This arm will include a flap that helps sense the ice sooner. Sometimes the arm can get stuck in the ice and instead of lifting in a slow smooth manner, it will snap upward and lock itself. The flap will help prevent this from happening. This arm is available at

. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
