How do i replace the electrode on GE XL44 gas oven stovetop - model JGBP28BEA1WH?

The front left burner on my stovetop for my GE XL44 gas oven JGBP28BEA1WH does not arc consistently and the burner will not light - the other 3 burner electrodes light every time. I can light the front left burner with a match. If I jiggle the electrode it will arc the next time I try to light the burner, but then will not arc again after that without jiggling it.

How do I get to this electrode and replace it? I believe the part number is:

Many repairs require some assistance. While your waiting on an expert to respond I have provided you with a link on how to change the electrode on your range. This isn't the exact model but it should give you an idea of what to expect when you do repair the electrode. If you wish to schedule service you could visit the Sears Home Services website. I attached both links below. I hope this helps!

You need to remove the range top to access the clip that holds the electrode in the burner.

Remove the grates and burner caps. Remove the screws on each burner that mount it to the range. You might have to pry the burners off the cooktop with a putty knife. The burners tend to stick to the cooktop.

With the burners removed, you can lift the cooktop off the range.

The part number of the electrode you sent is the correct part number.

I sent you this answer earlier. I did not realize the screws on your range are under the top burners. The rest of the answer is accurate.

Good luck.
