kenmore electric oven door won't unlock after self cleaning and cooled down

Don't know the model #. I turned it on to clean overnight, and it is still locked. It is totally cooled off.

This is a common problem that happens to many people. Below I have provided some information from previous post. A suggestion I have is to provide you model number so an expert could give you detailed information specific to your model. Just add to this thread. I also attached a link that tells you where to find your model number for a range. I hope this helps!

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. Without having the model number of your range the only instructions I can recommend trying is to program the oven control for another self cleaning cycle and start it, wait 1 minute and then press Cancel/Clear/OFF and wait to see if the door lock mechanism will release the door. You also may to push in slightly on the door when Cancel/Clear/Off is pushed and see if it unlocks.

If the door will not unlock, I recommend calling and setting up a service appointment to have your range repaired.
