My kenmore oven is beeping and flashing "F1". What does this mean?

I have a kenmore double oven model #41329. It started to beep in the middle of the night. The small window on the appliance flashed "F 1". Many times i tried the clear/off button but with no luck. I found i needed to turn the circuit breaker off in order for the beeping to stop. I left it off for a while then went out and switched the breaker back on. The beeping resumed. Can this be repaired or will i need a new oven. I hate to pay a service man $129 just to tell me that the oven has bit the dust.

I can imagine how unnerving it would be to have the oven beep in the middle of the night. I located a previous expert post with an attachment explaining this code. I also attached the link to schedule repair if you would have more peace of mind having it repaired.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand not wanting to pay for a tech to tell you the range needs replacing.

This error code F1 on this series oven has to do with the Electronic Oven control.

Since you were not able to reset it after you had the power off the control will need to be replaced.

If you decide to replace the oven control please have the complete model number so you will receive the correct control.

Some of the controls are no longer available but hopefully yours will be.

If you will please respond with the complete model number off the oven I will be glad to help you find the correct control for you oven. I will also give you instructions if you need it to replace the control.

The model number should look like 911.41329XXX.
