Why is my kenmore He2 washing machine leaking during the rinse cycle?

The model that I own is 110.46472501. The leak seams to be coming from somewhere behind the counter balance weight. It seems to leak more when there are more clothes in the washer. I have had this washer for approx. 5 years and this is the first problem that I have had with it. I made sure that it is level. I cleaned the trap of any debrit. I cleaned the rubber seal (bellow) between the door and drum. I don't know if I possibly have a worn out seal or a crack in the plastic drum. Are there any common problems with this model of washer that others are having?

I understand that your washer is leaking during the rinse cycle. I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below for you to view. I hope the link that I provided is helpful. Have a nice day.

I can tell you there has been no problem with the outer tub cracking or with any leaks in the area you mention.

Most leaks have been at the door and seal. Cleaning the seal was a good idea even though it didn't stop the leak.

Try removing the lower access panel and see if you can notice anything.

You say it only leaks in the rinse cycle. Rinse has a higher water level than most cycles.

I can't believe the tub has cracked. My suggestion would be to change the W10111435 bellows. If not change then tear down the machine enough so the clamps can be checked.

The images below will help with this. A loose clamp or tear in the bellows would be the best cause of the problem. An actual hole in the outer tub would be the worst.

I'm sorry to put you to work but try to find the source of the leak before spending the $129 dollars on the service call.

I hope this helps. You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.
