Will mounting gasket 1010A fit my Kenmore Food Waste Disposer 17560542?

When I entered my disposer's model number on Sears Parts Direct, the site responded with a hot water dispenser. The parts listing for 1010A doesn't specifically link back to this disposer.

Gordon; There is no universal mount. Each manufacturer has its own mounting flange specifically designed to fit disposal. You will need to use the flange that is supplied with the new disposal. It will require removing the old and installing the new sink flange specific for the model. The disposal mounting flanges as far as I know and seen only come in chrome.

Hi Joey

I have the model no 175605540 and I am trying to replace a GE unit with it that stopped working. the flange on my sink and clamp do not seem to work with the sears unit. the throat of the flange went inside of the GE throat it is larger in diameter than the one on the sears gd. Is there a universal mount that I can use? Also my sink is whie corrian and if I have to change the sink flange do they come in a flat white color.

Thanks so much
Gordon

Thanks, Joey. I had not seen your response until today. I'm sending along a copy of my disposer's parts list to confirm our unit's model number. Also, from what I can determine the mounting gasket, part #1010A, holds the rubberized flaps that prevent a back splash from coming up from the disposer when it is in action. I'm looking to replace them as they are worn out. Do I need other parts such as other gaskets in order to replace the mounting gasket?

Thanks again for your expertise.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Your correct and I would assume the model number was either misread or a number is missing, however the mounting gasket part # 1010A is a good part number and is used on many models and it will most likely fit your model. Here is a

link

to one model using the part number 1010A.

The models I have listed below was listed using part #1010A.

Thanks for quick response. I did speak with an associate at Sears Part Direct who recommended me to this website. She was unable to link part 1010A to the disposer model 17560542. Sorry I didn't spell this out in my initial question.

Having to get the correct parts for an appliance is important. I recommend while you are waiting for an expert to reply is to re visit the Sears parts direct website were you can find a direct number to speak with a parts associate regarding you issue.
