How do I easily remove baked on grease and grime from baking and broiling pans?

I've tried the dishwasher, detergents, and grease removers and no luck. Can you help?

One cleaning method that I like to use is mixing a paste of baking soda and water, and coating the grease stains with it. Allow the paste to sit for 10-15 minutes, then scrub it away with a clean cloth, sponge or steel wool pad.
